I really liked the perfume. I bought it because I read that it is similar to the Julia perfume, which is not available now. It is somewhat similar, but not completely. There's something missing.

The fragrance is extraordinary, unlike anything else.
If applied only on clothes, it reveals itself with flowers and sweet, honeyed fruits, soft aldehydes, and sandalwood.
However, if applied on the skin, you may encounter some "unpleasantness" as the heat of the body causes the fragrance to "roar" and emit a considerable dose of animalic notes. Despite this, even in that case, it is very good as civet does not overpower all the other notes and remains within the realm of perfumery attractiveness.
In my opinion, the fragrance is highly underrated, but it is only recommended for perfume enthusiasts and experimenters who are familiar with civet, as it is rarely used in modern perfume compositions. For those who are not familiar with this note, it is better to first acquaint themselves with it in order to avoid later disappointment with the fragrance.
In short, the fragrance is amazing! It may be an acquired taste, but both my spouse and I really liked the scent, even though we bought it blindly. What is typical for Joop is that it doesn't fully reveal itself right away, but rather after a few hours. The longevity is simply astonishing, as it stays on clothes for several days. And for the price, in my opinion, the quality is much higher than expected.
P.S. I have been using Joop Homme for several years during the winter, so I know what I'm talking about.
Unpleasant scent for those who do not appreciate "Eastern" fragrances... I tried it for the first time. The scent is subjective and not everyone's cup of tea...
