Active Anti-Acne Care Gel with Salicylic, Lactic & Glycolic Acids CeraVe

I didn't buy it for makeup, but I'll leave a review. I've been using this gel for a year and a half (with breaks), alternating it every other day with retinol from the same brand. I must say, my face has never been this clear before; it's a real find for me. For those who say that after a week of use, they only got more pimples, any cosmetologist will tell you that this is a logical effect of such a gel. Initially, all the closed pimples will surface, and then the face will clear up. A question for the brand representative: should the gel be followed with a moisturizing cream?

Can you tell me if the gel needs to be rinsed off?

It does clean the skin, but it doesn't tighten the pores at all, and about 30 minutes after application, it leaves a sticky feeling.

Unfortunately, after two months of use, the condition only worsened.

I bought the gel and face wash from the same series for my daughter to care for her problematic skin. She has been using them for a long time, but there are no results. We are disappointed.

I gave this cream two tries, and it definitely causes inflammation. I haven't had acne for a long time, but this cream triggers it. Acids are always part of my skincare routine. It leaves an unpleasant stickiness on the skin.

The gel is amazing. After 2 weeks, you can already see noticeable results, and after 2 months of regular use, you can forget about pores forever! This is not just an empty promise, the product really works!

I started using this gel, applying it to my skin at night after washing with the green gel (for problem skin) and ANA toner. My face broke out a little on the cheeks, but these breakouts are fading with each passing day. I will wait at least a month and then add whether there are any changes.

I ordered this gel based on the reviews, hoping to get rid of post-acne and closed comedones on my chin. I started using it on December 10th and have been using it every night for over a month now. However, I haven't seen any results at all. The closed comedones are still there and new ones keep appearing.

As for the gel itself, it's a bit sticky, but it's fine after applying a cream. The smell is strange.

The smell is strange, unless you use cream to cover it or apply it on top of the cream - it becomes sticky, forming a film and rolling off. I bought it for spot application. After about two weeks, blackheads disappear.

I didn't like it, I don't see any effect on my combination skin. My face feels sticky, and when I apply the cream, it feels like a layer of pie on my skin. I won't buy it again. I liked the serum more.

This product is truly effective.

I have some pimples on my nose, upper lip, and cheeks, but they are isolated and not causing any major inflammation or pain. However, when they do become inflamed, they can be quite painful. I started applying the product specifically to this area and it made a difference. My skin is combination, and I usually get one pimple every two months. So, the fact that I experienced a breakout after using this gel confirms that it was caused by the product. But if I only apply it to my T-zone, everything is fine. I use it as a peel, and the effects accumulate over time. I alternate between using it for a week and then using my regular skincare routine for a week. This combination keeps my skin clear and healthy. It also helps to slightly clean my pores and gives my face a radiant glow.

The gel performs its function and only helps. I am ordering it for the second time. Unfortunately, without it, the rashes come back.

The skin tone has evened out, occasional breakouts appear but quickly disappear. I'm not sure if it's thanks to this gel or my overall skincare routine (I use a hydrophilic oil, a cleansing gel, a moisturizing serum, and then this gel-treatment). Sunscreen is a must in the morning.

Decent active gel. If there is inflammation in the maturing stage, I use a serum with retinol because the glycolic acid in this gel is very irritating and makes everything even redder. But post-acne heals faster with it and in the morning, the skin tone seems slightly improved. I apply it on clean, dry skin. If I have slightly steamed my face in the bathroom, I let it cool down and then apply it. The gel is a bit sticky, but I wait for 15-20 minutes and then apply a basic cream, so I don't see any problem. I use it 1-2 times a week, following this schedule: day 1 - retinol, day 2 - recovery, day 3 - acids, day 4 - enzyme powder and recovery. Sun protection is a must in the morning. There has been no peeling or dehydration of the skin from this gel so far. Great value for the price!

Unfortunately, it did not work for me. Zero effect, I have been using it for nearly 2 months.

I bought the cream from a different place, but I still want to leave a review. I have been using it for a month and it is very economical, as I don't have to use much. I can't say that my skin has become cleaner, but pimples that appear now go away in two days instead of a week. The skin tone has slightly evened out, and although there is a sticky layer upon application, it is not too critical. Don't expect a "wow" effect, but overall it's not bad. Ladies, I have been using this gel for 3 months now, and it is the only thing that has helped me get rid of acne. I have been struggling with it all my life, and nothing seemed to work. I seal it off with the CeraVe night cream. Absolutely love it! ❤️

The gel is truly effective! Don't be alarmed by breakouts, it's normal for acids, especially if it's your first time using them. I've been using it for 5 months and I can say that it really helps. The blackheads are so light that they're not visible, and pimples only appear during times of high stress, but the gel takes care of them.

Also, make sure to use SPF because the skin becomes sensitive to the sun after using acids, especially in the summer. And apply the gel correctly on completely dry skin to prevent foaming.

After 5 months, I still haven't finished it because you only need to apply a thin layer.

I will definitely be getting more!

I had a lot of red pimples on my shoulders, but the gel effectively dried them out and they gradually started to heal. It also works well on the face, as if it made the facial texture smoother and enhanced the brightness of the skin tone.

I purchased the deep cleansing gel for washing. This gel only helps to quickly reduce inflammation for me. I bought it on May 17th, and after 10.5 weeks, the only noticeable effect is that it helps to quickly reduce inflammation in 2-3 days if used every evening. It did not cause any breakouts (unfortunately). It also does not cause any allergies, which is great. However, for something more (blackheads, oiliness, flakiness, dullness, etc.), a complex treatment is needed. As a first product with acids in your skincare routine, it is worth trying. But make sure to follow up with a restorative cream! Once, my skin became dry when I ran out of my restorative cream. I thought my skin had gotten used to the products and that a regular moisturizer would be enough. I was wrong - dryness, redness, and flakiness appeared on my oily skin! So, make sure to always follow up with a restorative cream (one that restores the skin's hydro-lipid barrier) in the evening, containing kombucha, probiotics, ceramides, peptides, etc., as listed.

This is a truly effective product!

The gel is very economical to use. I apply it on my face every evening, and in winter, I pair it with a ceramide cream. During summer, it is sufficient for me as the final step in my skincare routine. My skin has truly become more well-maintained, and breakouts and black spots have reduced. I use it with a niacinamide serum and always apply SPF in the morning.

This is an excellent spot treatment, but it tends to become sticky after application. It effectively eliminates pimples within approximately 2-7 days, depending on their size. I highly recommend it, although one downside is that it leaves a sticky residue on the skin.

I have been using this product for a week. I have problem skin and I can see it getting worse with each passing day. I wanted a product that would exfoliate the dead skin cells of the epidermis, but instead I got a product that made my skin horribly oily within a few hours of the first application. The number of blackheads has sharply increased and individual breakouts (2-3) take longer to heal. It seemed like this product should have been a must-have for oily skin, but it turned out to be a disappointment. I was concerned initially about the absence of information regarding the concentration of acids, but I thought that if the active ingredients are listed first in the product, they should work. However, I can clearly see a deterioration in the condition of my skin. It is doubtful that this is how it should be.

This product is terrible. It caused both pustules and closed comedones to appear on my skin! I strongly advise against using this product, it's absolutely awful!

I have tried many products, but this one did not impress me at all. It had no effect whatsoever. Currently, the best products for spot breakouts are: the pharmacy Ugresol and the Delacruz Acne Treatment from iHerb (although they can dry out the skin quite a bit).

Pros: Convenient packaging, lasts a long time.

I bought the entire line for problematic skin. There were a lot of comedones and a few breakouts.

I started by using the cleansing gel, and I really liked it. It cleanses well and doesn't dry out the skin. Then I tried this active gel, and the "cleansing" period began. The areas with comedones became red and sometimes painful pimples appeared... but I understand that this should happen because the comedones have nowhere else to go.

The gel does a great job. My skin has become softer and almost velvety. Even the same pimples heal faster and post-acne is less noticeable.

I recently also purchased the retinol, and I will write a review about it later.

So far, I am satisfied. I also want to mention that both the cleansing gel and the active gel are very economical and last a long time.
