The Lunette Menstrual Cup, Model 1, from the Lunette brand is a fantastic eco-friendly and cost-effective alternative to tampons and sanitary pads. The ability to reuse it multiple times is not the only advantage of this product. With the menstrual cup, there's no need to put your life on hold, as it allows you to live life to the fullest. You can confidently go swimming, jogging, or even to bed with it. The cup perfectly adapts to your body and moves with it, making it virtually unnoticeable. Inside the vagina, it creates a vacuum and collects the fluid without absorbing it, unlike tampons. This prevents the growth of pathogenic bacteria or fungi. Model 1 cup is suitable for women with light to moderate flow. If you usually change a low or regular absorbency tampon or pad 2–3 times a day, this is your size.

Before first use, sterilize the cup in boiling water for 3-5 minutes. Make sure to wash your hands with soap beforehand. Fold the cup. There are different folding techniques—try a few and choose the one that works best for you. Insert the folded cup and allow it to expand inside the vagina. After insertion, the cup should open with a characteristic suction or "pop" sound, indicating it is properly positioned. If in doubt, feel the base of the cup—it should be round or oval when correctly placed. If you notice any dents or indentations, it means the cup has not fully opened. Gently hold the base of the cup (not the stem) and try to rotate it to ensure a secure seal. Once it’s in place, gently pull on the stem; if you feel resistance, it means a suction seal has been created and the cup is correctly installed!
My favorite cup! (I have 2 fun cups of different sizes and stiffness)
It is easy to insert and unfold; in addition, the tail is long and can be trimmed to fit me. It doesn't stretch too much, making it easy to "catch" inside. It has never leaked and is very comfortable and convenient to remove (in the case of softer ones, it is harder to remove the vacuum, causing temporary discomfort on the cervix). It doesn't shift when worn.
The main downside for me is that due to its elasticity, the ring of the rim is a bit stiff when removing it, and personally, it's a bit uncomfortable because the entrance is sensitive.
