It's a great product that, when used according to the instructions, effectively removes everything without clogging pores, drying out the skin, or causing allergies. I use it with a cleansing glove.
The instructions state that the product should be applied and massaged, and then gently massaged with cotton pads soaked in hot water, without applying pressure, in a careful manner. This process transforms the product into a milky texture, which can then be rinsed off.
This is just awful, especially after the excitement from Heimish. It doesn't wash off with water, it feels like they didn't even add an emulsifier to the formula. You have to use a foam or gel to remove it. It poorly fulfills its function as a cleansing balm. Not only that, but the texture is uneven and has some particles.
This balm is very pleasant. I use it in the evening as a facial massage product after removing makeup; the balm alone is not enough. The skin feels very soft and hydrated after using it. It can be washed off with a cleansing foam or gel and has a delightful fragrance. To me, it smells like floral honey, and thanks to this scent, the otherwise routine massage process becomes a pleasant meditation.
