Surprisingly, it didn't cause any allergic reactions, even though I have very sensitive skin, and I'm grateful for that. It did sting a bit, as mentioned, but only for about 20 seconds (though the sensation wasn't very pleasant). I used it on myself and also tried it on my boyfriend, and it had a great effect.
