Not all fragrances need to be bold, provocative, or loud to make an impact—sometimes, it's the refined and harmonious scents that truly stand out. Such is the case with Etro Vetiver perfume, characterized by its smoky, earthy, dry, and woody vetiver essence. This fragrance unfolds subtly on the skin throughout the day, delighting with its measured sophistication.
The initial notes open with nuances of musk sage, known for its soothing and tonifying properties. Egyptian vetiver and Calabrian cedar blend harmoniously in the "heart" notes, showcasing a light resinous quality, a bitter smokiness, dryness, and a rich restraint. In the fragrance's wake, tobacco leaf emerges, bringing its unique slightly spicy, a tad sharp, and captivating scent.
I bought this fragrance for my husband, hoping that it would somewhat resemble Creed Vetiver. However, I was completely disappointed. Instead of the desired scent, it reminded me of an autumn forest, and it was incredibly weak and didn't last more than 10 minutes. Extremely disappointing!
A pleasant forest scent, initially a bit sharp, reminiscent of the smell of burnt logs and scorched grass, but literally after a minute, you can detect tobacco, vetiver, and the forest seems to fade away, leaving a light lingering sensation on the skin. I really liked it, it's my kind of scent.
The forest. The scent of warm, damp earth. A coven of witches. A cauldron with potions - valerian, tobacco... A black cat. The smoke of a smoldering bonfire. The coolness of a summer evening...
In general, I am in love with it... unexpectedly and forever.
The fragrance is wonderful. I really like it when my husband uses it, although I bought it for myself. It is delicate and unique, with a combination of tobacco, herbs, and cedar in perfect proportion. It's simply delightful! I mostly see it as a masculine scent, but I wouldn't rule out wearing it myself depending on my mood, because I really like it a lot.
