Before using the cup for the first time, sterilize it in boiling water for 3-5 minutes. Be sure to wash your hands with soap first. Fold the cup. There are different folding techniques—you can try various ones and choose the one that suits you best. Insert the folded cup and allow it to expand inside the vagina. Once inserted, the cup will open with a distinctive suction or popping sound, indicating that it has been positioned correctly. If you're unsure, feel the base of the cup—it should be round or oval when inserted. If you notice dents or folds, it means the cup hasn't fully opened. Gently hold the base of the cup (not the stem) and try to rotate it to create a suction seal. Once it's in place, try lightly pulling on the stem; if you feel resistance, the suction is established, and the cup is successfully inserted!
