I have bought this foundation for the second time. The first one was in shade 2N, but it turned out to be dark, even though I have fair skin. This time I purchased it in shade 1N. I have attached a photo of the foundation on my face below.
The foundation does not emphasize flaws or dryness, and it does not clog pores. However, after some time, it starts to give a greasy shine on my skin, even though my skin is dry/normal and does not have any hint of oiliness. Therefore, this foundation is definitely not suitable for people with oily skin.
Also, do not expect this foundation to cover your acne. The foundation is designed to even out the skin tone, especially Dior, which has a natural finish and low coverage. It does an excellent job at its task of evening out the tone, but it is not suitable for creating a completely new face :)
It also has a pleasant and subtle scent, and the foundation lasts for a long time.
By the way, under the eyes, I use the Dior Forever Skin Correct concealer in shade 0.5N. It conceals bruises very well and is very economical, so it lasts for at least a year.
Overall, I am very satisfied with these face products. Dior is the best thing that has happened to my skin so far, and the most important thing is the natural finish without the mask effect.
Very lightweight. Don't expect maximum coverage. Gives such a beautiful natural glow. It's not without reason that it's called Natural. It beautifully evens out and looks natural and effortless.
I have the lightest shade 0N, like the entire luxury segment, it turns yellow, I've accepted it, but not as much as the lightest Lancome shade. That one oxidizes and turns orange. For everyday use at work, it's enough for me with powder to set it. It's not heavy, it's what I need for everyday use, and overall it's a good tone. If you wanted a light luxury product for everyday use, then this is for you. Overall, this was my request. The scent is very pleasant in the foundation.
I didn't buy it here. I have shade 1.5 and it's only suitable for light skin in the summer. In reality, it looks quite dark on the face. It doesn't cover anything at all, neither freckles nor post-acne marks. It actually emphasizes small flakiness, making barely visible pores look gigantic. I always applied it to well-moisturized skin. It is economical, which is its only advantage. It doesn't justify its cost at all.
I really liked and it perfectly matched the Dior foundation in shade 1.5 N. It has a medium coverage and conceals small imperfections and dark circles, giving a very natural look to my dry skin. It doesn't emphasize any flaky areas (on moisturized skin, of course). The shade with a neutral undertone doesn't make my skin look pinkish or yellowish, and it doesn't oxidize. The texture is pleasant and the fragrance is extraordinary. It's a delight to use this product. The shade suits slightly tanned skin with a light complexion, but not overly pale.
I purchased the foundation shade 1.5N, which is a nice neutral beige for light skin with a yellow undertone (not pure white). The foundation itself does not give a yellow tint, it even has a hint of pink (see photo below). The coverage is very light, it won't even cover slight pigmentation. Therefore, it is only suitable for flawless skin that needs some foundation for something. On my combination skin, everything started to shine after 2-3 hours. I read somewhere in the reviews that it doesn't transfer, but that's not true. I pressed a tissue against my face, and it was all covered in foundation. So, unfortunately, I can't say that I will buy it again, but I wouldn't call it a complete disappointment either. Just carefully consider whether it will meet your needs.
It doesn't emphasize fine lines, it looks quite natural on the face, and even adjusts and becomes more "alive" on the skin.
In the photo, the foundation is shown on clean skin, and on the left and right of the swatch, you can see how it looks with lighter and heavier coverage.
I really liked this foundation. Unlike Estée Lauder, it has a dewy finish and doesn't give a mask-like effect. It makes the face look more natural and doesn't emphasize pores like the first one. However, I don't think it's suitable for me during the summer as my forehead and the area where I wear glasses get sweaty and everything starts to run. The color in reality is different from what is shown on the website, but I managed to take a photo that represents the real color. It is almost identical to Estée Lauder 1n2 Ecru (Dior 1.5N), with Dior being slightly lighter. It suits me well as I have fair skin but not extremely pale. It doesn't settle into pores and applies well on the nose, giving a well-groomed appearance to the face. Therefore, I give it a five-star rating.
I had a problem with my photo. The darker Capture Totale Serum 1N and the lighter Forever Natural Nude 0N.
On the left, we have the Capture Totale Serum 1N, and on the right, the Forever Natural Nude 0N.
I have Forever Natural Nude in shade 0N, which is for light skin (but not extremely pale) and it is too light for me, so next time I will get it in shade 1N. However, Capture Totale Serum Foundation in shade 1N turned out to be slightly too dark for me even now in the summer. So next time I will get it in shade 0N. The quality of Dior foundations is always perfect for me. It is exactly what I need for 40+ skin.
I purchased the shade 2N (the color on the website does not match reality). The tone is perfect for me as I have normal fair skin. It effectively covers the veins on my face. It applies nicely and does not roll off, separate, or settle into unwanted areas. It does not accentuate pores and blends easily. It does not feel heavy like a mask and does not transfer onto clothes or phones. It does not fully cover redness, but it provides light coverage that can be built up to medium if desired. However, it will not conceal your acne scars or large dark spots - that is a job for a dermatologist. It wears well throughout the day and does not melt in hot weather (I did not set it with powder). It is great that it comes with a dispenser, which makes it economical to use. The scent is neutral and pleasant.
I chose shade 1N, which is slightly darker than Chanel's B30 shade. It is evident that Dior has a thicker consistency with a more pink undertone. So far, I am impressed with it, but I will start testing it on my face from tomorrow onwards. If anyone is interested, feel free to write to me and I will gladly update my review.
Just received my package - thank you, Makeup! I did a test on my hand - the first impression is that the foundation should be good. It has medium coverage, shade 1N is light, but it might be slightly dark for very fair skin. It has a fairly strong floral scent, but it's subjective. I hope it will disappear from the skin over time.
The swatches on the makeup do not correspond to reality (very dark), it's better to look at them separately.
In the photo, you can see an area on my hand where the skin is slightly peeling - so if the skin is dry, I assume it will accentuate everything, so good moisturization beforehand is necessary.
The product is great, I used it with N, 1.5. It is quite bright. However, the color palette on the makeup does not match reality. It is very dark.
Overall, it is not a bad product as it does not cover much, even for post-acne, but it does help to even out the overall complexion. It does not emphasize anything and feels pleasant on the skin. My complexion is not very light or dark, and the shade 1.5N suits me well.
I didn't buy it here. I have the 2CR shade. It does have a pink tint, but the photo doesn't capture it accurately. The formula feels like a semi-transparent tint, quite moisturizing, and it works well for dry skin like mine. I usually moisturize my skin beforehand, but the foundation itself is also watery. I'm not very pale or tanned, but the shade matched perfectly. Previously, shade 23 worked well for me. Keep in mind that this product is more like a CC or BB cream, as it doesn't fully cover significant pigment marks or acne. It has a light, almost unnoticeable scent.
"One of the best products, it is not visible on the face, looks very natural, although it may slightly shine towards the end of the day. The shade 2n is the most versatile one."
I purchased 1N and it suited me well. I liked the quality of the product. The description completely aligns with my experience, which is why I agree with the other girls' opinions.
I really liked this foundation. It applies smoothly and wears well. I have shade 1N, which is generally a good match, but it does oxidize slightly and develop a slight yellowish undertone after application. Perhaps I should have gone for shade 0N, but I was afraid it would be too light. I have fair skin myself. The quality is good.
It provides excellent coverage. The texture is nice. It does not dry out the skin.
The foundation pleasantly surprised me. It didn't emphasize any dry patches and felt very smooth and flexible. The herbal/flowery scent is subtle and not overpowering. It feels comfortable on my oily skin. I'm not sure how well it would conceal flaws since I don't have any obvious redness or acne, but it does even out the tone wonderfully, making my skin look well-groomed and cared for. The finish is as if I applied a light-diffusing powder from Hourglass, giving a radiant effect. The only thing to keep in mind is that the shade oxidizes slightly, about half a shade.
I have a combination skin type, and this product lasts on me for about 5-6 hours before it starts fading. It emphasizes dryness, so I need to exfoliate my skin really well for it to sit nicely. It's not worth the money, as it looks very cheap.
Well, I don't know, everything seems to be good but I don't feel compelled to reach for it. It looks rather ordinary on the face, providing light coverage for a flawless complexion. That's about it. It definitely won't suit problematic or dry skin, even Evelyn's foundation looks more beautiful.
I have shade 2N. Estee Lauder Double Wear 2N1 is simply perfect for summer. It provides good, lightweight coverage that is not matte. It does not contain alcohol, which is great for my combination skin. I am very satisfied with my purchase and highly recommend it.
