It nourishes and smoothes the hair quite well, especially the ends. I have only used it twice: for 2 hours and overnight, and the results are definitely better when left overnight. I do not apply it to my scalp because it is already oily, only on the length of my hair. I have fluffy, unruly hair, and I use the Garnier Fructis pineapple/macadamia mask. My hair doesn't look perfectly straight, it still has a bit of frizz, but I haven't been using these products for very long, and natural ingredients need time to show good results. As for the smell, it has a regular oil scent, neutral, it doesn't stink or irritate the nose.
Awful smell, I wish it had at least a slight scent.
