Vitamin C is one of all-time favourite vitamins, well-known for its important role in supporting a healthy immune system. When it comes to skincare, its ability to protect, correct and enhance the skin is equally amazing. The easy way to take full advantage of the vitamin C’s benefits is to try the skincare product designed by The Ordinary brand. A word of caution, though: whilst vitamin C is generally pretty safe and well-tolerated, those with sensitive skin may experience some irritation.
Benefits of The Ordinary Vitamin C Suspension 23% + HA Spheres 2%:
- suitable for all skin types;
- has a water-free formula;
- enriched with Hyaluronic acid for added hydration;
- reduces fine lines and wrinkles;
- helps to reduce and lighten hyperpigmentation;
- stimulates the production of collagen and elastin responsible for firm skin;
- reduces free radical damage;
- silicone-free.-
Apply a small amount to the face once daily, ideally in the evening. A tingling sensation can be expected; if the sensation is too strong, the formula can be mixed with other oils of your preference before each application to reduce the strength. If irritation occurs, rinse off, cease use, and consult a physician. Patch testing prior to use is advised. Keep out of reach of children. Avoid the eye contour and contact with eyes. Use sun protection during the day.

It doesn't absorb completely, leaving a greasy film. It might cause a burning sensation. It didn't work for my face, but I use it for lightening and evening out the skin on my legs, and it works great there.
I didn't buy it here, but it is 100% original from the USA, but I will leave a review! Ladies, this is a disaster. I have normal skin that tends to be more on the dry side occasionally, and I have no problems at all. This product is very greasy (I use it at night), it doesn't come off at all, and it also burns a lot. There are granules that feel like a scrub when applied. Just a 1 out of 10. If you endure the pain and don't wash it off, leaving it overnight, there is one plus - your skin will be soft in the morning. BUT it's not worth it at all.
Overall, I really like this company and I use more than half of their skincare products. However, I will look for a different company for vitamin C. This product doesn't absorb well and tends to roll off, leaving a constant feeling of dirt on my face throughout the day. The scent is also unpleasant and reminds me of dirty rags.
After being educated and familiarized with the compositions of mesococtails, I didn't pay attention to the negative reviews that can be found even on impeccable products. I purchased this wonderful product with a professional percentage in its composition, which is quite difficult to find. I am very satisfied with it as it leaves my skin perfectly smooth, soft, and lightens all imperfections (spots, etc.). However, this doesn't mean that everyone can apply it to their skin and then complain. Take some time to study it if your skin is very sensitive to even the slightest acids. The percentage is high, and in order to dilute it, you need to understand the compositions. Definitely a full 5 stars. I hope this product doesn't disappear from our favorite online store.
I have been using acids for about 7 years. And it was only with this product that I managed to burn my skin after just 2 applications. Not only did I have dry and red skin that itched and peeled like a snake, but I also had breakouts like a teenager, which I hadn't had in over 10 years. Moreover, the consistency is really strange - there are lumps, and it's also greasy. It's like mixing baking soda in oil. Be careful, even though I did a patch test, it didn't protect me at all. If your skin is sensitive to the ingredients, it's better not to use it. I didn't expect this from this brand.
I didn't buy it here, but I'll leave a review anyway.
I tried this product several times and I was disappointed. I initially bought it as a body treatment, but I won't repurchase it and I don't recommend it to anyone.
When applied to the face, it causes a strong burning sensation, even more than products with vitamin C and acidic pH. My skin is used to acids like glycolic and lactic acid peels from The Ordinary, so it's not too sensitive.
The serum's base is squalane, which makes my skin softer in the morning, and I liked that. However, the vitamin C itself is in a very high concentration, which irritates my skin.
The texture is also unpleasant, but if it weren't for the burning sensation, I would continue using it. That's not the biggest drawback though.
I recommend using gentler and safer products for the face. However, I'll give it another chance as a body treatment and use it on my back. Maybe it will help lighten pigmentation after breakouts.
I didn't buy it here, but I'll still write a review :)
I used it about 6-7 times. I didn't understand the effect. The consistency is terrible, so I can't use it regularly. Maybe the product is great if you go through a course, but you need nerves of steel for that.
It makes my face very oily, there are tiny particles in the mixture, and it's impossible to cover it with cream because they just mix together and don't absorb on their own or with cream on top. In the morning, my pillow is sour, and my hair becomes greasy. It's just inconvenient, that's all :)
I didn't notice any effect at all, just a terrible burning sensation on my face.
I have normal skin with a few small acne spots.
After using the serum, it didn't fulfill its purpose as none of the acne spots lightened.
I only used half of it, and I won't buy it again. I didn't like the consistency, it was a liquid emulsion with powdered vitamin C. There is discomfort when applying it, because the particles irritate the skin. However, the product helped with skin pigmentation.
I have been using this serum for about a week now. I have combination, non-sensitive skin with very pronounced pigmentation. The pigmentation appears in the summer and is very persistent. I constantly use acid-based skincare products, so my skin is accustomed to them.
In this serum, or rather suspension, there is a high concentration of vitamin C, so it can sting if the skin is not used to acids. You can mix it with other skincare products to reduce the concentration and minimize the stinging sensation.
After a week of use, I see a wonderful effect - the pigmentation has significantly lightened. I have never seen such a quick and visible effect, although I have experience using many brightening products and procedures.
In terms of effectiveness, it is great and a must-try for those who suffer from pigmentation.
As for the texture, when it comes into contact with the skin, it transforms into an oily consistency and contains fine particles. I bought it as an addition to my morning skincare routine (even though the description says it can be used in the morning and evening, the manufacturer recommends using it as an evening treatment). The serum is a bit greasy, so it definitely cannot be used as a makeup base. I always make sure to apply SPF50 on top of it. I am still testing it in different variations - using it alone or mixing it with other products, but I haven't found the perfect method for myself yet. Maybe I will start using it as an evening treatment after all.
In conclusion, the product is excellent in terms of its effect and brightening properties. The only issue is with the texture, which requires some adjustment.
I applied it overnight on acne-prone areas, following the recommendations. However, I constantly felt a burning sensation. The last time I used it, my face started itching unbearably - it felt like a facial burn. It has been three days now and the itchiness still hasn't gone away.
Amazing serum. It feels greasy and sandy, so I won't be repurchasing it.
I have normal skin that tends to be dry. I use it several times a week, only at night.
The consistency is greasy and honestly not pleasant, although I'm not very picky about that.
The results are average, it slightly evens out the skin tone.
I won't repurchase it, I'll try a serum with vitamin C instead.
It's really cool, a little bit tingly.
I liked that it can be used as a standalone product, after using it, I don't feel the need to apply cream anymore.
The product is good. I have been using it for over a week, every other day. It is not recommended for sensitive skin, as it slightly irritates my combination skin. Overall, the product is good as it helps to remove pigmentation spots, even after just a few applications.
I had heard a lot about this product and was expecting it to be like sand, but it was barely noticeable and had a fine texture. It felt almost imperceptible, unlike what I expected.
I really liked it, as I had previously used natural and Korean cosmetics, but after using this serum, my face felt amazing. I haven't had such a healthy complexion since I was probably 12 years old, and I'm 22 now. I apply it at night, as it is not suitable for wearing under makeup due to its dense consistency. However, it works perfectly overnight, healing wounds and even getting rid of a deep pimple that had been there for about a month. The scars vanish instantly with it. I love it and will definitely repurchase it.
I did not buy this suspension here, but I want to leave my review here. This suspension has a liquid texture with a slightly oily substance in which there is a powder. You apply it to your face and massage the skin well. The first and second use made my skin red and itchy, but then it all went away. It tingles a little when I use it after some time. The suspension does not absorb, it just stays on the skin as a thin, oily layer. But the effect... it's amazing! I have been struggling with pigmentation for a long time and have been constantly searching for good products. I have tried many Korean skincare products. But after using this suspension, I actually saw results quite quickly. The pigmented spots on my forehead have almost lightened. They are hardly noticeable now. I can confidently go without using foundation. Overall, my skin looks much better in the morning. The lightening of pigmentation is impressive. The appearance of broken capillaries has also diminished. Plus, it moisturizes the face. I am very satisfied with this result. The cream may stain the bedding orange. It is advisable to let it absorb for an hour or two before going to bed. I will definitely buy it again.
I didn't buy it for makeup, but I see a lot of negative reviews that need to be corrected. I have almost used up my entire tube. At first, I didn't really like the serum. It was greasy, oily, and had small particles. I didn't understand how it worked. But now, after completing the course, so to speak, I can see the results. If you want a fresh look in the morning, I use it.
Vitamin C is very beneficial for the skin, but it can sting upon application if your skin is not accustomed to acids or if it is in a high concentration. This is only for those who regularly use acids in their skincare routine or have non-sensitive skin. My mom's skin burned terribly upon first application, so she had to wash it off. Sometimes, I also feel a slight tingling sensation around the eye area, but now my skin has gotten used to it.
In the morning, after using it, the combination of squalane and vitamin C gives a magical result. It evens out the skin tone, moisturizes, and leaves it smooth and radiant. Squalane helps maintain and restore collagen levels, while vitamin C effectively regenerates skin cells. Therefore, I can only recommend it to those who are willing to endure a little discomfort but achieve results, and who have non-sensitive, allergic, or damaged skin. Keep in mind that it can sting if you have open wounds, just like rubbing lemon on them.
This is not a serum, but a microdermabrasion. While applying it to your face... the word "smear" doesn't fit. And I noticed that it clogs pores, adding to the charm of its application. I can't wait for it to be finished. I don't know its impact on the skin since I don't use it systematically. After this purchase, I am unlikely to buy anything else from this brand.
I did not buy it here, but I would like to add a positive review so as not to discourage potential buyers from this great product. The biggest downside of this suspension is its consistency, it is quite greasy with small "sand-like" particles. Therefore, it is better to apply it an hour before bedtime to avoid it rubbing off on the pillow. You can also mix a little bit of it with your regular cream. I only use it every other day in the evening. In the morning, it is essential to use SPF. I am willing to forgive all the inconveniences because of its effectiveness.
The texture of the skin is indeed smoothed out by this serum, but I have never in my life experienced such clogged pores as when using it.
I have been using the serum for only 3 days (at night) and I can already see results! Now I understand what "adds radiance to the skin" looks like. The only thing is that my skin has a reaction to the serum, but I hope that with time my skin will get used to it.
I remember the first time I applied it: the next morning all my skin flakes simply disappeared. It was shocking. It wonderfully evens out the texture of the skin, making it soft and radiant, moisturizes well, evens out the tone, but practically does not lighten spots and freckles, so I do not recommend it for those who specifically want it for such purposes. It does not oxidize, of course, because there is no way it could.
My advice: use it at night and you can skip applying cream on top, especially when it is very nourishing, unless you have very dry skin, otherwise it will feel heavy on the skin. And don't pay attention to the tingling sensation, of course, unless it is too strong, this effect quickly fades away.
