The essence of an Eastern man is perfectly encapsulated in Geoffrey Beene's Grey Flannel eau de toilette, whose external allure captivates the imagination of the fairer sex. Black hair, large green eyes, tanned skin, and natural charisma inspire admiration.
At times, the temptation is so great that it's impossible to resist, and natural instincts compel one to take notice. His art of subtle manipulation and playing with every fiber of his being reveals him as a seasoned hunter, eager to win a woman's favor. His persistence and charm are sure to be rewarded, for the nets of temptation are expertly laid out, and only he who knows how to wait triumphs!
The fragrance's composition primarily highlights woody shades and extracts of natural oils bestowed by the unique nature of the East. The initial scent is accompanied by captivating notes of galbanum, neroli, petitgrain, bergamot, and citrus, blending into a floral symphony of mimosa, iris, violet, sage, rose, geranium, and narcissus. This picture is completed with delicate touches of almond, tonka beans, oakmoss, vetiver, and white cedar.

I have 240 mg of this water. What can I say... an unusual scent for a low price, and the final revelation of it is... soap. Just soap. So now this soap will be stored in the pantry).
This is a cologne with a spray dispenser for toilet water (according to the barcode).
I really liked the scent. It's authentic. I bought it as a gift, but ended up keeping it for myself. Thank you, Makeup!
It caused symptoms of food poisoning. I have never experienced anything more foul-smelling in my life. And yes, it is very persistent - I struggled for a very long time to wash away this horror.
I bought this product solely based on reviews and its description. Honestly, I didn't guess the final scent, but I was pleasantly surprised. I would say that it smells unusually and strangely, but still pleasant. I can't even compare it to something modern. I stop smelling it myself after an hour or two, but people around me can still smell it after 12 hours. Even after a couple of days, my clothes still retain the scent. Overall, the scent is subjective, but for this price, it's excellent.
Cologne for grandpas aged 90+. I threw it out the next day.
I will add a review about my impressions. This fragrance exceeded even the boldest expectations. It lacks the sharpness and assertiveness that are typical of masculine perfumes; it is unisex. I was captivated by the scent of a magical forest.
In the very beginning, it smells like crushed grass in your hands, then like a dusty flower with pollen.
Long-lasting, it stays on clothes for several days.
I envision it perfectly on a spring day when there is still snow on the ground, but the air is warm and filled with the scent of spring and melting snow.
This fragrance is very interesting, quite long-lasting, and, in my opinion, not at all ordinary. It has a slightly bitter green opening (as if crushed stems and leaves of some plant) and a soft but noticeable "creamy-care" continuation. It sounds quite modern and, in my opinion, will look organic on anyone who likes it. I don't have any nostalgic memories of Soviet hair salons, so it doesn't evoke any retro associations or images of grandfathers for me. Everyone has their own likes and dislikes, but in my opinion, the sound and characteristics are excellent even without considering the ridiculous price. And if we consider it as a top product for its price, even more so. It has taken a worthy place on the shelf among Hermes gardens, Blackpepper, and 2 CDG, Fahrenheit, Eau Sauvage, V canto Alibi (just to outline preferences).
I bought this blindly, relying on comments and reading literature about perfumery. It's a typical American perfume classic from the 60s and 70s. It reminds me more of cologne, but with a good and long-lasting, light, floral cloud. The scent is more suitable for men aged 50 and 60 plus, or for those who are very rugged and have already tried many perfumes, and have decided to purchase something simpler and more affordable for everyday use. The fragrance is not for winter frosts, rather for the transitional seasons. In the face of today's variety of scents, Grey Flannel gets lost. I only give Grey Flannel three solid stars for its historical longevity.
I didn't like it.
As mentioned before, it's a cheap blend of hair salon scent and an old overcoat... not everyone's cup of tea...
Smart service!! The playfulness of this perfume is astonishing! It is definitely pleasant to wear. Long-lasting and smoothly changing notes, it is unusual... Cloudy... Tempting... Reading about it is a pleasure in itself... Pleasantly surprised... Thank you sincerely for the heartfelt makeup...
Thank you for the fast delivery of my order. It was a pleasant surprise to find a gift from the website in the box.
I purchased this fragrance based on the description of its pyramid and bottle design. I was really curious to see what I could get for a reasonable price. And I have to say, it impressed me. Not just impressed, but I often prefer it over other more outstanding and expensive perfumes. Some people mentioned that it is both complex and simple, and I agree with that. The pyramid is quite intricate, but the scent, while not simple, has a composition that is mostly bitter and mossy, creating a sensation as if it is all about pine needles, moss, and dampness. But I like it. That's its uniqueness. However, over time it becomes a bit blurry and takes on a mass-market tone.
For me, it is a rough version of Hermes "Gentiane Blanche" without the playfulness and shimmer, but like an oxygen pillow - you can keep inhaling it. Personally, it calms and soothes me, although it might irritate others. But to make a fair judgment, you need to sniff it more than once or twice. It's a masculine scent of freshness, purity, and meditation. It frees the mind from negative thoughts. Absolutely for those who enjoy rough, brutal scents. Not for children. It is quite long-lasting.
I bought it for a change, but I made a mistake. The perfume is very mature for a 60-year-old. It reminded me of when I used to go to the hair salon and they would spray cologne from big bottles after a haircut. But the scent is not bad. People from a previous era will like it.
Grey Flannel, I bought it based on the reviews of a perfume blogger, and for me, it's not at all Eastern, but a pure classic. At first, there is a sharp mossiness, and then a slightly dusty violet note. It smells like aristocrats. It is very well put together. Respect to the makeup.
This fragrance is like a breath of purity. I wear it with immense pleasure. When I'm tired from the rush of cleaning and other heavy artillery, this perfume is simply a savior. It brings a sense of calmness and confidence for the days ahead.
I was choosing a fragrance as a gift and relied on the comments. The majority of people wrote incredibly enthusiastic reviews, while the rest compared this perfume to the distant USSR, soap, and pine needles. When we received this fragrance, my loved one and I decided to test it before giving it as a gift. We sprayed it on a cork stopper and, honestly, we were horrified. The long-lasting scent of pine, a mix of flowers, and a nostalgic childhood memory, a grandmother's scent in a cupboard. There was a moment of disappointment, but then we decided to try it on our skin. And here I was very surprised; the first spray gave a sharp scent of a pine forest, but not as overpowering as on the stopper. We waited for about five minutes, and the fragrance began to unfold its charm. The pine changed into violet. It seemed like a masculine fragrance with violet, but it revealed itself wonderfully. The sharp notes disappeared, and what remained was a truly amazing scent, unique, expensive, and worthy, like a suit. Definitely, this fragrance is not for young boys. Before buying it, it's better to smell this fragrance, as not everyone will appreciate all of its charm, but I took a risk and did not regret it. The result of this purchase was a satisfied birthday person, and I ordered this fragrance for my significant other.
I'm not sure about the East, it's more like an English gentleman - quite original, although, as you can see, also classic. The scent itself is niche, but in terms of longevity and average development, it does lean towards mass-market. Not bad for a collection.
On the SCENTDIRECT website, Grey Flannel is described as a "Chypre" fragrance, and that is exactly right. At the start, it is a clone of Sisley's Eau de Campagne. If you were to test it with your eyes closed, you wouldn't be able to tell the difference. After about four minutes, a mossy herbal explosion surrenders to a nocturnal, YES! YES! It is the scent of a blooming violet in the cool night, filled with the smells of the earth and grass resting from the heat. In the drydown, the same violet remains, supported by vetiver and iris. In the sillage, though Grey Flannel doesn't really have a sillage, it creates an aromatic cloud that exudes a confident and alluring aura of a freshly washed and healthy body. This joy lasts for 6 to 8 hours, depending on the temperature. Moisture (rain, snow) awakens it, while dry environments with temperatures above 20 degrees intensify and monotone the violet. Summer is not the season for this fragrance. Late autumn, winter, early spring, and rainy summer evenings are perfect for it. The scent is stylish and, if I may say so, casual. It doesn't require a strict suit, but a white element in your outfit would be desirable. Grey Flannel is a very elegant perfume.
Service - excellent!!!
Perfume - amazing!!!
It definitely doesn't leave anyone indifferent. Choosing blindly or based on reviews is a personal responsibility, as it was for me this time. But I didn't make a mistake!
The scent is complex and simple at the same time! If you delve into human physiology a little, it will surely become clear why it is always different.
My bottle doesn't have a sprayer. Everything is authentic, masculine!
Thank you sincerely, Make Up!
