In my opinion, this is more like a gel than a foam. It lathers well and has an excellent formula. However, it is a bit weak for my combination skin with a tendency towards oiliness. I bought the whole series (serum and cream as well). In my opinion, it is more suitable for dry or slightly dry normal skin. It did not cause any inflammation or redness.
