It's okay, but nothing special. It reminds me of something used in a dental office before a filling is set. The scent is quite similar. I would have preferred a more natural, fresh herbal smell. However, it's pleasant to use; it doesn't irritate the mouth lining as much as some other products I've tried. The price is a bit high, but I got it on sale with toothpaste, so it was a good deal.
