Mattifying Fluid for Oily & Combination Skin Weleda Naturally Clear Mattierendes Fluid

My friend gifted me this product. It has a very unpleasant smell of bitter herbs, and after applying it, my facial skin turned red and started to burn. I applied it in the evening, and my face remained red until the morning. Although I washed it off quickly, I still felt discomfort. It seems that one of the ingredients didn't suit me.

I have oily and problematic skin, and in the summer, I start to get shiny just half an hour after washing my face. I have tried all the products from the Weleda Naturally Clear line: the cleansing gel worked perfectly for me; the fluid does a decent job of mattifying; the spot treatment only dries out small and occasional breakouts; the concealer has weak coverage, there are better options available.

Now, let's talk about the fluid itself. The scent is similar to the other products in this line, with a slight alcohol smell at first, but it quickly dissipates. As for application, I take a pea-sized amount and apply it only to my T-zone, often on damp skin after washing because it spreads better that way.

The effect is that it feels lightweight on the skin, there is no film-like sensation, and the skin feels pleasant to the touch and mattified. The effect lasts for 2-3 hours, which is good enough for me. About 15 minutes after applying the fluid, I use the Avene BB cream - it doesn't cause any rolling or clumping. Only once did it start to roll on my cheeks, but that was because I applied more cream than necessary.

Regarding the overall effect, it's important to note that I use the fluid after washing with the Weleda gel from the same line. And this gel is the only one from all the dermatological brands that makes my skin less oily. I would say that the mattifying fluid simply prolongs the effect of this incredible gel.

Would I buy it again? Maybe, because it's Weleda, and I'm not ready to experiment with Korean cosmetics for my problematic skin (maybe they would provide a longer-lasting mattifying effect). It's definitely not worse than other mattifying creams from dermatological brands.

I liked it. It mattifies well and you really need very little of it. However, there is one drawback - I cannot apply BB cream on top of it. I have read that many people face a similar issue. This problem disappears when using a primer, but still, it is not perfect, so I deducted one star. It is best to use it on "weekend" skin days when you are not wearing foundation.

This is simply the WORST cream out of all the ones I have ever had. It has an immediate strong smell of alcohol and it tightens the skin a lot (even though my skin is oily and I never had this problem before). It leaves a film-like residue on the face. It is impossible to apply foundation on top of it. It looks as if you glued your face and then applied makeup on it. Even when I tried to remove the makeup with a hydrophilic oil, the products didn't dissolve and instead formed clumps, as if I was doing a mask-roll! In short, I should have believed the negative reviews.

I have oily skin, so I bought this fluid for the summer. I really like how it instantly absorbs into my skin. Following the representative's advice, I started applying it on slightly damp skin or over thermal water. It applies perfectly and after some time, I can even apply powder without it rolling off.

I don't understand why many people complain about it rolling off. Apply less of it and use a toner or serum underneath, and you'll get more hydration because the fluid itself doesn't provide much. The smell is definitely intimidating, but it dissipates over time, although it may cause issues for those sensitive to smells.

I did not buy it here. This cream is expensive and does not provide any benefits. It does not moisturize or heal, and it also completely peels off. As for the spot treatment from this series, I cannot say anything about it either, as it does not really have any effect. However, the facial cleanser is not bad.

I really like this fluid. I didn't notice any pore tightening, but it mattifies wonderfully. It suits my combination skin well during the warm season, and I have no complaints.
