Foundation - NYX Professional Makeup Can't Stop Won't Stop Full Coverage Foundation
I liked the finish of this matte foundation. What do people expect from a matte finish? It won't moisturize your skin—that's the nature of matte products. All matte foundations that claim to be long-lasting tend to dry the skin but stay put for a long time. This one lasts 12 hours on my combination skin at work. It's winter now, so my review might differ in summer. Currently, I'm satisfied; the alabaster shade is perfect for the fairest skin tones. I would order it again. I wonder if it's a limited edition or not?
I really liked this foundation, but it still heavily depends on the base underneath. Unfortunately, with the NYX primer that was given as a gift, my combination skin does not look very good - it emphasizes the texture of my face. However, when using it with the Bobbi Brown primer, it applies beautifully! The shade is even, the product itself is easy to apply, and it lasts throughout the day. I can't say anything about the shade, as I was lucky to choose the right one when ordering on the website.
Very cool foundation for problematic skin. It is essential to moisturize the skin before applying the foundation. It lasts all day, provides full coverage, and gives an even tone. Thank you Makeup for the great promotion on NYX and for the gifts with the order!
I purchased the shade beige, but it turned out to have a strong reddish tint that is unlikely to suit even a tanned complexion in the summer. Upon application, it reveals a complete array of flaws on the face with its light matte finish, and it even leaves marks when in contact with the phone or clothing. I definitely do not recommend it.
Awful foundation, didn't buy it here. No matter how much you moisturize your skin before applying it, it clumps up and accentuates every flaw, drying out your face completely. They clearly overdid it with the matte effect. Maybe it could work for oily skin in the summer, but I wouldn't risk it. I have combination problem skin.
I bought this product solely based on the reviews, expecting it to be a good summer foundation. However, I am disappointed as it doesn't apply well no matter how I try to apply it. It doesn't blend smoothly and emphasizes every pore on my skin. On the other hand, I must say that the concealer from the same brand is excellent, but unfortunately, the foundation is not up to par.
The worst foundation I have ever had... I have combination skin, but it dries it out incredibly and emphasizes flakiness even where there wasn't any. No matter how I tried to apply it - after exfoliating, after intense moisturizing, mixing it with a more hydrating foundation, using my fingers, brush, sponge... It was all in vain. It looks like a mask of thick powder on my face... A foundation should be used to cover imperfections, not to reveal non-existent ones!
Since it's supposed to be long-lasting and not smudge, I was hoping that the texture would be thick, but it turned out to be liquid. It only partially conceals post-acne, it won't completely cover it. It's not what I expected.
Incredibly bright. The texture is not bad, but quite heavy. It may be cumbersome for daily use.
I really liked the foundation. It covers imperfections quite well and actually stays on very well throughout the day. This is my first time trying it, but now it's become my favorite!
Makeup, please bring in more shades in stock, I can't wait to try the Pale or at least Alabaster shade. As for the foundation, it's amazing! It hides pores and my skin looks porcelain-like. It's perfectly smooth, you can even skip setting powder because the foundation is quite long-lasting. However, it may not suit dry skin as it blends so well with the facial skin that it can emphasize dryness and flakiness. Even good quality moisturizer may not help much, unless you do a nice exfoliation before moisturizing ;)
The foundation is something else... It's amazing, I highly recommend it! I have fair skin and the Light Porcelain shade matched perfectly. It didn't oxidize throughout the day.
If you have dry skin, I do not recommend this product because it will cause excessive peeling. The color has hints of orange.
Still, the photo doesn't match the previous review.
I rated it 3 stars for the quality. I really love this brand and this foundation, the quality is appropriate. It fits perfectly on the skin! But today I am desperate.
Ladies, be careful, the color beige is a terrible mismatch with the color in the photo! It will actually be yellow, even sandy. Almost yellow-brown. Very dark! I don't know how to describe what I saw. There is nothing close to beige there. And it has nothing in common with the photo.
I love how it perfectly lays on the skin and feels comfortable after application. It holds up well, and it is easy to apply and blend using both a sponge and fingers. I will definitely repurchase it.
I guessed the color right, let's see how it will hold up.
The best option for oily skin in the affordable range. It is a replica of Estée Lauder Double Wear Stay-in-Place. I have been using it for 4 years and it never disappoints.
This product is indeed very matte and long-lasting, however, it tends to oxidize (so I recommend buying it in a shade 2-3 tones lighter).
The foundation is really only suitable for oily skin. It provides great coverage and feels dense. Thank you to the makeup brand for the free courier delivery during such a challenging time, as well as the gift with the order! ❤️
I have been using and ordering this product not for the first time. The pros are that it effectively covers pigmented spots, but it may not be suitable for people with severe acne as it stands out too much. The cons are that it tends to give a strong yellow tint.
Long-lasting, smooth coverage, but it accentuates every single dry patch.
I tried this product for myself. I have fair skin with freckles and a slightly tanned face after summer. I got the shade Porcelin and I really liked it. It matched my neck perfectly. The only thing is that it slightly dried out my skin, but it stayed well and didn't cake up too much. I think I might need to buy a better powder for touch-ups. The coverage is medium, not very heavy. I had to apply the concealer a few times to even out the color, but it could be because I didn't apply it properly. Overall, it's a good product.
The shade is very decent, and it has a wide range of colors to choose from. However, be careful when selecting the shade. I got the shade called Buff, but in reality, it turned out to be much darker than it appeared on the website. Even though I don't have fair skin, it still looks orange on me, which is why I am deducting one star.
BEST FOUNDATION FOR VERY OILY SKIN! Finally, no more mess on my face, my skin only gets slightly oily throughout the day. My dream has finally come true and my prayers have been answered! HURRAY! The top shades from lightest to darkest: Vanilla, Nude, Medium Olive (for those with a tan).
The foundation is not bad, very long-lasting, and I have the shade Vanilla. It doesn't disappear from my face throughout the day and it doesn't oxidize. However, it is very liquidy, and if I don't remove the excess inside the pump after using it, the pump gets clogged, and the next time I try to squeeze out the cream, it's like a fireworks show, with everything around me getting tinted. (That's why I deducted a star.) I have to dance around this bottle to use it. Also, the skin needs to be well moisturized and prepared with a primer - if you don't do this, all the flakiness will be visible. It mattifies really well, and you can even skip powdering your face.
The only lightest shade I found for a reasonable price. I use a primer before applying it and everything goes on smoothly without drying out. Without a primer, it dries out the skin like crazy. It wears well and comes off easily.
Terrible!
I wasted my money for nothing. This cream unbelievably dries out the skin, applies poorly, smells like plaster, and even after using it, the skin feels tight. No moisturizing creams or primers can help. I don't know what to do with it now.
I purchased this product. Within 3 days, it turned my face into a walking red tomato. I experienced inflammation, small pimples, itching, peeling, and extreme dryness. I am furious and completely clueless about what to do because I have never had such a problem before. My skin has never reacted this way to any cosmetic product.
This foundation is really bad! It literally sets on the face within 10 seconds, which means it needs to be blended very quickly. It applies in patches, doesn't layer well, and oxidizes terribly. It quickly fades off the nose and chin (the oiliest areas), even though it's advertised as matte.
I did not purchase it here, but from the official store. I have never experienced such a repulsive tone before. It applies well only on the forehead (completely smooth surface), but in other areas, it sticks horribly, blends poorly, and is very visible on the skin (although I understand that it is a heavy foundation). If it sticks somewhere, that's it: a bright spot of color and a bare spot next to it where the foundation will never lay again. I used it three times, I couldn't handle such mistreatment anymore, even though I expected much more based on internet reviews and bloggers' opinions.
I have problematic skin - everything that can go wrong with it, I have it: redness, small breakouts, and flakiness, not to mention it's oily. I used a tinted pease foundation before, it was decent, but by midday, my face would be perfectly shiny. So, I decided to try this one... In principle, if you know how to apply it correctly, the effect is good. It didn't emphasize my flakiness, moderately concealed imperfections, and didn't make my face overly shiny. It stayed on well... But the color... Couldn't they show the color of the makeup not only in the jars but also by doing swatches the old-fashioned way? Sometimes you feel like a fortune teller, and this time I definitely lost... The yellow brick-like color is not my shade, and even with a tan, it doesn't suit me. I don't know who it would suit, so it seems like I wasted my money... Although the foundation itself is not bad.
This foundation has been quite exhausting for me. And expensive too. I couldn't get used to it. At first, I tried applying it with my fingers (the old-fashioned way. My Max Factor foundation used to blend perfectly that way) - it didn't work. I bought a brush from the same series (it costs a fortune, like another foundation) - still not right. I decided to try a beauty blender (I have one from Makeup) - still not right. And then I read somewhere that you can wet it. And oh my! What a miracle! My nose and wings no longer look like moon craters filled with foundation!!
By the way, I have oily skin. It gets shiny like a pancake after an hour. The Aloe Gel from Holika-Holika helps with the peeling. Overall, I can now say that my face looks great.
Oh, and if you don't use it every day, it dries out in the nozzle. And I broke the dispenser halfway through the jar.
In short, this cream is both a disaster and a blessing at the same time. It's nice that it finally worked for me and I forgot what it's like to have stains on my clothes and phone, and to constantly blot my face with a tissue. But with all these difficulties... I can't say for sure if I will buy it again.
I have been ordering this foundation not for the first time. I have combination skin and the foundation sits perfectly on my face! My face looks instantly well-groomed. Of course, it is necessary to apply it quickly with a sponge, otherwise there will be spots on the skin. And under the foundation, I always apply the moisturizing cream Christina.
Dried out!
I used it once and then it simply dried out.
I did not like the tone. No moisturizing cream helped to prevent it from emphasizing flakiness and disfiguring my nose. It is thick, but not particularly long-lasting, as it still "slips off" after 3-4 hours of application.
Normal skin, when applied, it dries out and doesn't apply properly using any method. It is very drying and patchy. I am disappointed. The color, vanilla, does not turn yellow. The maximum factor remains the best for me!
Super foundation
I recently purchased this incredible foundation and I must say, I am beyond impressed. The coverage it provides is flawless, giving my skin a smooth and even appearance. It blends effortlessly and feels incredibly lightweight, allowing my skin to breathe throughout the day.
The formula is long-lasting and stays put, even in the most challenging conditions. It doesn't budge or smudge, ensuring my makeup looks fresh and intact all day long. I appreciate how it doesn't clog my pores or cause any breakouts, making it perfect for my sensitive skin.
The shade range is impressive, offering a variety of options to suit different skin tones. I was able to find the perfect match for my complexion, giving me a natural and seamless finish. The foundation also doesn't oxidize, maintaining its true color throughout the day.
Furthermore, this foundation provides a beautiful dewy glow without looking oily or greasy. It gives my skin a healthy radiance that lasts for hours, making me feel confident and beautiful.
Overall, I highly recommend this amazing foundation. Its superb quality, excellent coverage
I didn't buy it for makeup purposes, but I'll say a few words about it. I really liked this foundation because of its incredible long-lasting formula. I applied it in the morning using a damp method and a thin layer, and by evening, it looked just the same as in the morning. You need to learn how to work with this foundation; I apply it over the Zola aloe primer since I have dry skin. This foundation is definitely not for everyday use, although if you learn how to apply a thin layer, you can use it. It's an excellent cream that covers everything and smooths my skin beautifully. Such long-lasting foundations tend to set quickly, so you need to work with them very fast. The key is to warm it up on your hand first and find a good base (especially if you have dry skin).
I had high hopes for this foundation, but they were not met. You need to prepare your skin very well for it, as a moisturizing cream and primer are unlikely to prevent skin dryness. I used it for about a week and my face started to resemble raisins. I never had dry skin problems before, and it also clogs the pores, which is scary. Applying it is also problematic because it dries quickly and sets firmly, so you need to work very quickly. The coverage is dense, but it can be blended out to a medium coverage if desired. As for longevity, I have no complaints.
It saddens me to write this review, but after using half of the jar, there is no chance (I was hoping we would become friends). When applying it to the skin, it needs to be spread immediately and preferably in small areas because it instantly becomes powdery, and when trying to blend it, it only causes flakiness because it literally sinks into the skin. I'm not joking, and it's not my fault - I do everything as quickly as possible.
The second shock is the application method. I've tried natural and synthetic brushes, sponges, wet sponges - none of them work. The first and second methods instantly create flakiness, and the third leaves streaks.
The compromise was applying it with my fingers, using tapping motions, but even that doesn't look great in the end.
And the third issue is the flakiness. Goodness, they're everywhere. On the forehead, nose, chin, and now they've even appeared on my cheeks, although they're not really there.
Anticipating questions about skin preparation, I can assure you that I moisturized with creams, masks, serums, and primers - but the result is the same. It's visible on the skin. It covers above average for blemishes and redness, but if you layer it, it doesn't blend at all. I've been itching to throw it away for the second week, but it's a shame.
I absolutely do not recommend it.
I chose the shade Nude based on the reviews, which is light, warm, and has a noticeable yellow undertone. I would prefer a color that is less yellow, but when I applied it, I was able to blend and spread it well on my face, so I am satisfied with it. It was my first time using a foundation brush, and I regret not using it earlier! The foundation applies beautifully, as long as you cleanse and moisturize your skin beforehand.
I definitely recommend it!
I purchased the shade "alabaster," which turned out to be too light for me. However, after a few minutes, the tone adjusts to match your skin tone. It provides medium coverage and accentuates dry patches, making it more suitable for oily skin.
I purchased this product from the official store, but I have decided to leave a review as I often rely on them myself. The foundation is terrible. I have normal skin type, but this foundation managed to accentuate all the flaws, it also flakes off and feels uncomfortable on the face, and it doesn't always apply evenly. Definitely not suitable for dry skin. I don't know what to do with it now, as I have no desire to use it anymore.
This product was a complete failure for me. My skin is oily, problematic, with post-acne marks, slightly enlarged pores, and frequent active breakouts (except for the cheek area, where my skin is normal). Oh, how many times I tried applying this cream: on bare face, on primer, on moisturized skin... but no matter how well I moisturized, the result was always the same: it emphasized ALL the flakes (which were not visible at all before using this foundation, I didn't even know I had them). Its coverage is average (I wouldn't call it full), and it mattifies with a greasy minus. The only positive is that it is truly long-lasting. Before this, I used the BB cream from Caylin, which applied perfectly, had better coverage, didn't emphasize flakes, but it was very shiny on my oily skin and smudged everything it touched. I don't know how this new product from NYX has received so many enthusiastic reviews on the website...
The foundation is excellent, the delivery is superb. I placed an order yesterday and today I already have the package! The courier was pleasant and friendly. Makeup, you are the best!
In short: thrilled!! And if not short: I spent a long time choosing the shade, settled for nude (as it has a neutral undertone). At first application, it appeared very yellow, but soon blended with my skin tone and became like a second skin. It emphasizes dry patches, even with the brand's primer. Before starting to use this foundation, I did everything to moisturize my skin to the maximum (God bless Bepanthen). After that, I was thrilled! It applies perfectly and lasts a long time. I recommend it :)
I chose the nude shade and it was a perfect match. It looks very natural and has a pleasant texture. You can feel the quality of the product. I apply one layer for my daytime makeup and two layers for the evening. Overall, I am very satisfied.
This foundation is really cool. I got the alabaster shade for very fair skin. It has a matte finish and doesn't oxidize. It suits me well, providing an even tone and correcting minor skin imperfections.
A good foundation, in my opinion, is better suited for oily skin. The shade Alabaster is very light, even for my fair skin. Perhaps I will mix it with something, although for now I am using it as is. Overall, I am satisfied with the foundation as it effectively covers blemishes. I would give it a solid five-star rating.
