Face and Body Gel La Roche-Posay Cicaplast Gel B5

I prefer a creamier texture, but this balm from the same series is too thick. The gel is not transparent, slightly creamy, and it lasts me for a day. I apply it before bed and everything is fine. I don't need moisturization in the morning.

With the onset of the pandemic and the wearing of masks, my dry and sensitive skin began to deteriorate rapidly. Wearing disposable medical masks specifically led to perioral dermatitis and acute contact allergic hives. My struggle with this skin condition was long and with varying success. Until one dermatologist recommended this gel. I will say right away that I am not a fan of this brand, but using this gel twice a day, my skin and especially my lips have returned to a state that is about 90% pre-pandemic. This is such an amazing result that I will continue to buy this product. I have been using the gel since mid-November 2021.

I received the gel but have not used it yet. I was disappointed to find that the gel was not sealed, meaning someone else could have used it or something foreign could have gotten into it.

The dermatologist recommended using this gel after laser removal of spider veins to prevent scarring. Indeed, there was no scarring.

Question for the brand expert:

Please tell me, is it possible to use this gel for irritation after shaving, as there are micro-pores in the skin, and the instructions state that it cannot be applied to open wounds?

I applied this gel on my cleansed face and struggled with it for half a day, but I constantly felt the urge to wash it off! Ladies, honestly, my skin couldn't breathe and my cheeks were burning! It felt like my pores were clogged. I do not recommend it!

I didn't buy it here, but I don't think there's a difference. It's very interesting why it's written here that it can be used for cracks and dryness for both children and adults, when the brand expert assured ME PERSONALLY, when I asked about this gel, that this Cicaplast B5 is used EXCLUSIVELY after cosmetic procedures, like laser or peeling, and in other cases it is not effective, and for some reason it is not indicated here, but it is written on the La Roche website. Who to believe?!

A dermatologist prescribed it for my hands, I had cracks and dryness, but it didn't help at all!!! So I used a special cream from another brand, which is Two Times Cheaper, and it healed all the cracks, and it's not surprising, because La Roche is just a hyped brand, whose products are not effective, it's no wonder that one of my dermatologists said it doesn't help and it's better not to spend money on these products, probably not all dermatologists have sold out.

Personally, I have used a lot of products from this brand, and none of them had the results that the brand experts claim. All the reviews are probably bought. Because even acquaintances who used products from this brand, prescribed by dermatologists, didn't help at all!

So, I won't buy any of their products anymore. It's just a waste of money.

Specifically, this gel, which costs over 300 hryvnias, is not effective at all, even though I used it based on a dermatologist's recommendation.

It gives a silicone-like feeling on the skin, but it goes away after about 20 minutes. I would rate the results as 5 out of 5. I use it selectively on my hands, face, and lips, and it works great on all areas of the skin. I bought it at the pharmacy.

This product is excellent. I have tested it in both cold and hot weather, and it works well for dry skin, effectively regenerating it. After application, any discomfort disappears. It provides ideal moisturization all day long. It may leave a shine, but this can easily be fixed with a light veil of powder.

I used the old version of this product before it was updated and released in a new form. I mainly used it as a help for restoring my child's facial skin (which tends to be dry). Now that my child is in their teenage years, they sometimes have excessively dry skin in the corners of their nose. We have been using the B5 gel, which is the only cream that helps maintain their skin in good condition. Thank you!))

I have been using this product for over 10 years. When it was not available for sale in Ukraine, I used to order it from abroad, even though the price was three times higher than on this website. It effectively soothes irritations and inflammations, even for skin rashes and other skin problems. It moisturizes and has a healing effect. I use it on my face and basically on any part of my body. The gel-like texture of the cream is very convenient to use, so I highly recommend it!
