These fragrances are not long-lasting at all, you can hardly smell them after an hour. The scent vaguely resembles Dior Poison Girl, but it mostly reminds me of a well-dressed grandmother who has dolled up for a holiday, wearing heavy makeup and dousing herself with these perfumes.
I fell in love with this fragrance several years ago! I have the original from Dior, they are very similar, almost indistinguishable, but I'll honestly say that this fragrance is more delicate and sweet, simply amazing. As many users have noted when comparing Sweet Home to the original, the vanilla in the La Rive version is different - I appreciate HP specifically for its natural, deep vanilla bean scent. However, this is a matter of personal taste. In my opinion, it is the highest quality option for those who want to have a democratic alternative. Among other brands, there are variations such as Tesori D'oriente (a much more diluted version) and Jeanne Arthes (which I really like, but has too much powder and is incredibly successful as a standalone fragrance). The only drawback to Sweet Hope is that it sits close to the skin and quickly fades - it lasts a maximum of 2 hours in my case. However, considering the availability of La Rive's fragrance, this can easily be overlooked and refreshed whenever desired.
Perfume, as they say, can heal wounds and make you smell pleasant in just a minute. At first application, it smells like medical alcohol and gives a cooling sensation. It's refreshing. But then it completely fades away, leaving only a faint scent.
I can't quite remember how Dior smelled, but there's something familiar in this alternative. Plus, they are less sweet and somehow... outdated, maybe. Like Mugler Aura: it's somewhat sweet, but more herbal and powdery. However, Aura develops into something truly stunning with its uniqueness, while this one lacks that.
The longevity is decent, but there is no trail. I wear perfume for myself, just to occasionally smell my wrist, so I don't need a trail anyway.
As a standalone product for its price, it's not bad, even good. But compared to Dior, it's definitely nothing.
If you really want Dior, it's better to buy a tester or decant, a miniature, anything but a "dupe".

It lasts a long time on both the skin and clothes. Since I prefer sweeter perfumes, this is one of my best options for autumn and winter, but I would still recommend smelling it in person before buying. The longevity is great, especially if you like vanilla and sweetness. It's an excellent option for its price.
