My husband likes it, but I don't. It smells like incense and is too strong for me.
Interlude by Amouage is, in my opinion, a fragrance that you need to "befriend"! I have a large collection of perfumes and I have tested many fragrances that were and are currently available, but this one is unlike any other! It stands on its own!
When I first purchased a sample for testing, I read many different reviews and approximately 90% were positive and 10% were negative, so as a result, the fragrance intrigued me. When I received the sample and tested it, after 2 sprays, I felt the urge to throw it in the trash. However, I didn't throw it away, I kept it to try again after some time. The next time, the urge was the same. - But only after half a day, in the evening and during the next few days, there was such an aroma coming from my clothes - I sometimes stopped near the place where my jacket was hanging, just to breathe in this scent again and again. The sillage, longevity, and opening pyramid - there is nothing like it. Even though I praise my favorite Tiziana Terenzi Tabit so much (it is very "delicious"), Amouage Interlude is something incredible, unique, indescribable! It's a fragrance BOMB! Complex, heavy, lingering, and incomparable!
I ordered this as a gift for my husband, and he is very happy with it. However, I personally don't really like the scent, as it reminds me of incense in a church.
Great scent, very long-lasting and with a beautiful trail! Before buying a large bottle, it's better to purchase a decant or a sample to try it out! In the collection, there is also Amouage Interlude Black Iris, and I can't decide which one I like more! Thank you, MakeUp, for another original perfume!
I have been using it for over 12 years and I never get tired of it. Interlud by Amouage is a masterpiece.
I loved everything! It's exactly what I needed for a gift!
Undoubtedly, five stars!
This fragrance has an exquisite scent. It is one of the finest men's fragrances by Amouage.
This is my first Amouage fragrance and I am absolutely thrilled. I have been searching for a long time for a fragrance that features frankincense, and finally, I have found it! The scent is a beautiful blend of frankincense and oud, which gives it a luxurious and exotic feel. Just two sprays are enough to have a long-lasting presence throughout the entire evening. It is truly amazing. Thank you, Makeup, for the fast delivery!
Well, the first test in autumn weather +20 and outdoors. I'm sitting in an open-air café. What do I have: a Christmas mystery, sweet incense, thick resins. I clearly feel its presence. It is not strong but it exists. Warm and enveloping. It evokes pleasant memories from childhood. Winter, Christmas holidays, gifts. No associations with dawn or heat arise.
It is lingering, balsamic, and luxurious. From the first breath, I understand: it's mine. However, I feel some familiar vibes, something from my youth. And I understand that I feel vibes of Encre Noire Lalique. Not the Lalique perfume itself, only its echoes, understand me correctly. I adored Encre Noire in my youth. These are my first impressions of the first day and meeting with it.
Interlude, one of the brand's most beloved fragrances. This scent evokes dense resins and a wow-worthy leather note. It is incredibly rich and has a long-lasting trail.
Everything is great! Thank you, beloved Makeup, for the opportunity to replenish my favorite perfume at a good price. In the new version of the bottle, there is indeed no "interlude" inscription on the sides and no "amouge" inscription on the neck.
It has a beautiful scent, but if you don't want to overpay, Mancera Red Tobacco is just as good in terms of longevity and sillage. I've been using Mancera and I can say that its sillage and longevity are excellent, and the price is lower while the fragrances are very similar.
I'm not really a fan of it, even though it's my favorite pyramid. There's something about it that stands out and ruins everything - this chill that I absolutely dislike. I'll give it some time to settle.
My son liked it more, but he can't hear it, literally after half an hour)) Although there's a kilometer-long trail, the scent intensifies with the slightest movement and this same chill suffocates me.
We bought it based on reviews, without testing it, but maybe I should have reconsidered with a test (:)
To clarify, the fragrance itself is not just magnificent. It's a legend! Just understanding one "fact from the biography" is enough - it is the only (in capital letters) fragrance from the perfume brand Amouage that rightfully received two flankers, Interlude 25 and Interlude Black Iris. None of the brand's women's or men's fragrances have this privilege. Not even the esteemed Gold. I operate with facts, so the criticism of those who didn't like this fragrance or it didn't suit them is purely a personal matter, a matter of taste - whatever it may be, and also physiology, which cannot be argued with. And these people are not the "majority," not even close to half or the minority, but a minuscule fraction. Personally, this fact doesn't please me because such popularity hinders my personal fragrance individuality. Fortunately though, it's a men's perfume, and only a rare girl would dare to wear it. I am one of those rare ones.
Secondly and most importantly, I ordered this fragrance here and now, and I can say with complete certainty - the fragrance has not changed since 2012. I have a bottle from 2012, and I know what I'm talking about. The perfume itself has simply aged since 2012, the liquid has darkened and thickened, but in the "final analysis" during parallel testing, the scents are identical - the "old one" is stronger, more aged, with greater density, naturally. Whereas the "young one" is lighter, not yet fully developed. Ladies and gentlemen, let's leave stories about coronaviruses and other nonsense alone. The laws of chemistry have not been repealed yet. Fragrance is a living substance and subject to maturing and aging. Some fragrances simply spoil and die. But some manage to "live to a ripe old age" and become immortal vintage classics. That's my take on the topic. Without personal attacks or the desire to offend anyone. Just my personal point of view and the desire to defend a masterpiece.
This is a classic that I will never give up!
After the pandemic, the scent seemed different to me, although no one replaced the bottles in my house)))
Now I still "hear" it the same way as before.
This is the perfect perfume that I will only give up if the composition suddenly changes...
Now I will order more! ⚜
I purchased this fragrance for myself as a winter scent. It has a strong aroma that reminds me of the bustling streets of Morocco, where spices, leather goods, and magical potions are sold.
Amouage Interlude. There's not much to talk about here. The longevity is excellent, lasting over 12 hours. The sillage is intense for about 4-5 hours, then it weakens. When the fragrance settles down a bit, you can immediately smell all the notes that are listed in the pyramid, especially frankincense and oregano.
As for whether the composition is good overall or not... Again, this is subjective, but there was no "wow" effect. Yes, it's pleasant, yes, it develops over time, yes, you won't go unnoticed wearing it, yes, it's quite prestigious. But it's not a masterpiece, not mind-blowing, not "oh my god, hold me back, I've never smelled a better fragrance in my life, I'm going crazy," nothing like that. It's just very good, solid, and that's it.
The fragrance is simply enchanting. The longevity and sillage are so strong that wherever you go, only this perfume lingers in the air. Even after washing shirts, its scent still remains on the collars.
I absolutely adore this perfume! It's magical! I wear it with pleasure, regardless of it being marketed as a men's fragrance. On a woman's skin, it reveals itself in a completely different way - softer, sweeter, rich, velvety, and iridescent. It changes with every hour and has incredible longevity. In the rain, it becomes warm and smoky, while in dry weather, it's sharp and spicy. The key is to use it sparingly. To all the ladies who love it but are unsure about wearing men's fragrances - confidently, YES! After all, historically, perfumery has no gender. The division between men's and women's fragrances is simply a mechanism used by perfume marketing to influence buyers. And as we know, advertising thrives on clichés and clear framing techniques to drive sales.
