Bergamot essential oil has a yellow-green hue with a fresh scent. It creates antioxidant, antispasmodic, anti-inflammatory, wound-healing, antifungal, mildly bactericidal, sedative, antidepressant, analgesic, antipyretic, choleretic, deodorizing, insecticidal, and slightly tonic effects on the human body.
The action of Bergamot oil is aimed at stimulating leukopoiesis, lowering blood cholesterol levels, and strengthening vascular walls. It helps to normalize the secretion of sebaceous and sweat glands, and tightens pores. It stimulates metabolism and heart function, as well as sexual activity. It enhances skin tone, refreshes, and lightens it.

For rinsing, use 3 drops of oil per 1 glass of water. For massage, creams, and tonics, add 2–5 drops of oil per 10g of base. For a cold compress on the calf muscles, use 10 drops per 200 ml of water. For sunbathing, add 3 drops of oil per 100 ml of base.
