I have been using it for a few days now. The toothpaste is terrible! It smells like old rancid oil. It doesn't hold its volume and it dirties the hair. This toothpaste is marketed as "elite." It's horrifying! I checked the batch code, but there's no way such a smell could be present in products with a good expiration date! It leads to the conclusion that it may be stored in improper conditions.
This matte paste is fantastic, especially for adding volume! You can even apply it by first rubbing it on your fingers and then applying it to damp hair closer to the roots. It also holds root fixation well on dry hair. My hair is thin, super straight, and flat at the roots, but this paste gives my hairstyle volume, holds it in place nicely, withstands wind, braided hats, and sleep. For texture, I use the same brand's paste in a tube, but with a shiny finish. The motto of these pastes is: less is more, you can always add more. The paste in the jar doesn't have a perfumed scent, and there is no scent on the hair. It is very economical and rinses off easily from the hands.
