I bought a tester of this fragrance because I was attracted to the makeup bottle. The first thing it reminded me of was a wooden box where cosmetics were kept, just like that. It also brought back memories of my mother's foundation cream that used to come in an aluminum tube in the 90s. It's an interesting scent, moderately sweet, with a vanilla note that is not overly dessert-like and pleasantly subtle. I can detect a waxy scent, as if it were a candle infused with vanilla essential oil. This fragrance feels quite intimate, meant for you rather than for others around you. It is versatile and suitable for all seasons, lasting 24 hours. Its popularity probably stems from the fact that it truly immerses you in childhood memories. The scent may seem simple, but at the same time, it has unique notes that are not overly cloying like in Montale, for example. It's something unusual yet familiar at the same time.

To me, this fragrance is essentially a vanilla scent, but it is so delicious and playful. It's not overly sweet, but has a slight bitterness to it. I will gladly wear it and consider all of Serge Lutens' creations masterpieces!

After reading numerous positive reviews, I decided to order the 50mg version. I sprayed it once and, oh my, the smell was absolutely awful! It reminded me of the alcohol and cologne combination from the 90s. About 20 minutes later, the scent started to fade, but what remained was the fragrance of my grandmother's jackets and scarves, with a hint of vanilla in the background. I don't understand why there is so much enthusiasm for this perfume. Clearly, it is more suitable for women over 40, even over 50. To say that I am disappointed would be an understatement. I wasted 1500 hryvnias on this garbage!
Disappointing. It has a beautiful scent, but it doesn't last long. Even Shiseido's fragrance, Shergei, lasts longer. There was a time when the white boxes and grey caps had great longevity. It's not the same anymore. In Europe, you might still find it, but it's difficult. By the way, it has a spicier scent there and no plastic smell when first sprayed. Nevertheless, thank you anyways.

I absolutely adore vanilla scents and have tried many different ones, but this one is my favorite. It doesn't give you the feeling of being a baked good like some others do. It has a very exquisite aroma, although it might be a bit heavy for the summer.

I have been wanting to try this fragrance for a while. It is very cozy and warm, perfect for autumn. It is sweet but not overly so, and has a subtle, quiet tone. However, I was completely disappointed by its longevity. I cannot detect it at all after 15 minutes of application. It is absolutely not long-lasting. This is the first time I have experienced this with a perfume from Make Up.

But it quickly stops being so bitter, becoming calm, reminiscent of Christmas... It is an excellent fragrance for winter family holidays. I received Serge Lutens Un Bois Vanille today. I spent a long time choosing between Nocturnal Narcotic and Forest Vanilla, and vanilla won! I absolutely love this scent. It gives the impression of being transported to a heavenly garden with an abundance of extraordinary fragrant flowers and trees, a true Eden. The interplay and shimmer of all the claimed notes are divine! The sillage is stunning, very long-lasting, just like all of Lutens' perfumes. For those who love vanilla, I highly recommend it.
