Washout Coloring Hair Balm - L'Oreal Paris Colorista Washout
So far, I haven't found a better option. I choose the light pink or purple one to remove the yellowish tone from my blonde hair. I use it about once every two weeks. Initially, my hair has color, and then it just becomes blonde without any yellow. It also nourishes the hair well.
I chose the red color and dyed my hair 2.5 months ago. It still hasn't faded completely, only the roots. However, it seems to be taking a really long time...
This balm is really cool. It's strange to read reviews where people say there is no pink shade, most likely their hair color is too dark. The color on bleached hair turns out beautiful and delicate pink. I've ordered it for the second time.
There is absolutely no effect at all. The dye did not take on my light blonde hair. I kept it on for 30 minutes, but it was completely useless. I wasted my money.
The outcome is almost as I expected. I thought it would be more vibrant. I haven't yet assessed how quickly it washes off.
Unfortunately, it is nothing. It completely falls apart after the third hair wash (for white hair). It is passable for one use. One star for not meeting the manufacturer's claimed specifications.
I purchased a pink flamingo for my daughter's very light blonde hair, kept it on for 20 minutes, but there was no effect whatsoever. I also tried it on a bleached strand of my own hair, and still, after 30 minutes of application, there was no effect.
I really liked the balm. It easily washes off the skin, has a bright color, and doesn't have an unpleasant smell.
I had a bad experience with this product on my natural light hair. Instead of turning purple, my hair became gray with a slight pink tint. It looks slightly better in the photo than in real life. Luckily, after one wash, most of the color washed out. This conditioner is supposed to be used on bleached blond hair, but be careful as it might not wash out completely.
This hair dryer leaves my hair feeling dry, but it does give it a beautiful color. However, it is important to note that my hair needs some extra care and restoration after using it. I specifically bought the pink one for my dyed blonde hair.
I really liked the balm! Even my boyfriend tried it, and the effect was exactly as I wanted, just subtle. I got the shade Flamingo, and I will definitely buy it again.
I am satisfied with the result; my hair feels silky smooth because of it. I chose the Red shade.
I purchased it in the "denim" shade. It worked well on my natural unbleached light brown hair. The color is not too intense, but I only left it on for less than 30 minutes, and it satisfied me. The shade matches what is shown on the packaging and the website photo. It is a dark greenish-blue shade. I deducted one star due to the smell. It is slightly nauseating and sharp.
This balm is amazing, it doesn't damage the hair and it lasts a long time without washing out. The color on bleached hair is very vibrant.
This is just TERRIBLE!!!! I don't like writing reviews and I don't have time for it, but here I'm obligated to! The Flamingo color turns out to be a light blond! Photo 1 is right after dyeing, photo 2 is after washing my hair 12 times in a row, including using a deep cleansing shampoo! Well, it's a good thing I'm on maternity leave and it's winter outside! A hat saves the day, but if I had to go to work... I can't even imagine! Despite being promised that it would wash out in 2, and even 22, times, it doesn't come off and my natural color is completely ruined! Not only does it not wash out, but it also turns blue in some places... In short, be careful, I personally have decided to stay away from experiments for a long time!
Weak, dull color that fades after two washes. Did not like it.
I would like to share my impressions of my natural and unbleached hair. It is a dark ash brown shade, although in the photo, the light from the lamp makes it appear slightly reddish, but outdoors it truly looks like fuchsia. After the first wash, the towel did get stained, but a regular wash helped remove it. The color still hasn't completely faded even after a month, and a pale pink hue is still visible. I liked it and will definitely buy it again. In the photo after dyeing, the color is fuchsia. One bottle is enough for my hair length.
Rating: 4/5
One of the positives is the beautiful color. It washes out quickly, as advertised. It washes out to an aquamarine, slightly greenish shade.
One of the negatives is that the shade is pale. It gets stuck in the hair. After using it, the semi-permanent dye (specifically Matrix SoColor Cult Semi Lavender Macaron) does not adhere well.
I am attaching photos. 1 - after dyeing. 2 - after a month.
I tried the fuchsia hair dye. I mixed 150 grams of fuchsia with 100 grams of Gliss Kur hair conditioner. My hair is thick, reaching below my shoulder blades, and naturally dark. The mixture was sufficient to cover all of my hair evenly. However, the color washed out completely after just 6 washes with a regular shampoo from the mass market.
I tried the red (tips and strands) and green (all over) colors, and both colors took well on my natural brown hair without bleaching. Both colors are vibrant and beautiful. The conditioner doesn't dry out or damage my hair. The red faded to a reddish hue and washed out after 10-12 washes. The green faded to a swampy shade and lasted for 20-25 washes.
If you read the reviews, look at the photos of the results, assess your initial color, and imagine which shade will suit you, everything will be wonderful.
I have dyed hair with very sun-damaged ends, and the Purple shade suited me well. It's not too bright purple, but exactly what I expected.
My daughter has light-brown hair with some sun-damaged strands, and she tried the Fuchsia shade (I attached a photo of the Purple shade in the comments section of the review for Fuchsia).
Color flamingo. Two packages are not enough for me. (I applied it to dry hair and kept it for about 30 minutes. I also tried the peach color before, and I liked it more.) It completely washes out in two washes. So, it's suitable for experimenting with colors. And keep in mind that it only dyes previously lightened and colored hair. It doesn't work on my roots at all.
I purchased the shade "Pink" and followed the instructions, but got no result. Instead, my hair turned blonde. The packaging was enough for 2 attempts. It's a good thing I didn't think of getting the blue or any other shade, otherwise I might have ended up with green hair like other girls. Coloring and maintaining blonde hair is expensive, so think carefully before buying this product.
I have medium-length hair that is quite thick. The bottle was not enough to dye my entire head. It needs to be left on for a long time for the color to take (my hair has been lightened multiple times). The consumption is very high. It is applied unevenly, with some areas taking more product than others. I do not recommend it, it is better to get your hair dyed by a professional with a toner or hair dye.
I wanted to experiment without damaging my hair color. I didn't dare to use Colorista Bleach as recommended because, based on the reviews, the bleach dye doesn't wash out anymore. As a result, the color didn't take at all, even on very light strands. I didn't like it and I wouldn't recommend it.
Do not buy it. I beg you. It has drained my nerves, energy, time, and money. There is not even a hint of pink. I have very light hair, so it should have worked perfectly.
I purchased several closely related colors and mixed different strands together. Pink, purple, and peach (may be called something else in the original). It looks amazing, better than just one color.
Unfortunately, the brown hair did not dye at all.
The Flamingo looks very beautiful on lightened tips. It washes out to its original color after the third time. It does not leave any residue on pillows or towels.
I have natural brown hair. I mix two shades (turquoise and green) to achieve the desired color. I have been wearing this color for almost a year now, and I touch up every two weeks on damp hair. I am very satisfied with the concept and the results. However, over time, the pigment has really settled into my hair and now it washes out very lightly. The most important thing is that my hair has not been damaged, as confirmed by my trichologist. It doesn't ruin my hair! But be prepared that in the first few days, the dye not only colors your hair but also your hands and clothing collars (though clothing comes out easily in a regular wash).
I chose the color Fuchsia. The tube barely covered my hair. First, I washed my hair and dried it, then I applied the cream and rinsed it with water after the recommended time. I kept it for about half an hour, from the moment I applied it until I rinsed it off. Let's see how long it will last. I also attached a photo of my hair before toning.
I ordered lavender hair dye. Since my hair is dark, I first lightened it. Then I dyed it with this dye. I waited for about 40 minutes. The result was a horribly light dusting of purplish color. Unfortunately, it was not at all what I wanted...
I applied a peach color onto lightened hair. I mixed it with a hair balm in a 1:1 ratio and left it on for about 10 minutes. Overall, it turned out alright, but I should have started dyeing from the roots. The color came out more intense on the damaged ends of my hair. Here are some photos under different lighting conditions.
I wanted a lavender ombre, but ended up with nothing.
This product is great at providing excellent color saturation, even though my hair doesn't hold pigment well. The color is fantastic, and after using it, my hair doesn't feel sticky like with most similar products. I highly recommend it.
I really liked this tinted balm, but it's a shame that they discontinued the orange shade. It was my favorite color out of the entire line.
Good balm. I tried it on my lightened hair to refresh the color. I tried denim on green dye and fuchsia on pink. The result meets expectations, it washes out in 1-1.5 weeks of daily hair washing with regular shampoo. If you use special shampoos for colored hair, the color lasts a few days longer. I recommend it!
I have repeatedly used this balm in the colors Fuchsia and Burgundy. I have light-brown hair. The color holds well, and if you lighten it a bit, it will become even brighter. My hair feels soft and shiny, and I leave it on for about 30 minutes. The Burgundy color lasts a long time and washes out into pink shades. There are no strange colors when it washes out.
The color faded quickly into a pale shade, and this pale shade has not washed out for 2 months now.
I love this paint! Even though it's green and doesn't wash off completely, it only fades into a dirty yellowish-turquoise shade after 5-10 washes. I simply repaint every 2 weeks and that's it!
I mixed the "purple hair dye" with shampoo in half to get rid of the yellowing. I tried applying it to the length (very light blonde, thick, below the waist) and the conditioner took on stripes, I rinsed it off for a month.
I bought a fuchsia hair dye for my child with brown hair. It is very difficult to apply and not economical. For an adult, I think this tube would only last for one use. However, the hair feels soft - almost like after using a conditioner - and the color came out well. It washed out evenly and gradually, without turning green or blue. My daughter is very happy with it. So, if you want to play around and experiment, it's okay.
Addition to my review: photos after use.
This balm is amazing! I used the Pink shade on my balayage hair, and the Fuchsia shade on my sister's natural blonde hair. We looked fabulous at the beach. However, my pink color washed out after a day of swimming pool competitions. On the other hand, my sister's unbleached hair kept the color for a couple more days. Keep in mind, if you plan on going to the beach or swimming in a pool like Ariel, your color will quickly fade. Choose this little gem for a dry vacation instead.
I chose the denim shade for my brown hair. I dyed it back in April, and now it's already August. My hair is still blue. Neither the fader nor the bleach helped. Maybe I just got unlucky, I don't know. However, I do not recommend it. Previously, I used Schwarzkopf, and it washed out after 2.5 weeks, just as promised. But L'Oréal (in my opinion) is a disaster.
Shades: 1 - flamingo, 2 - pink.
Application method: on DRY hair - applied for 12 minutes, kept it all together under a shower cap for 18 minutes.
Washes out: 1 - the bright color faded after one wash, leaving a light pink (peach) shade, on the second wash, the color is hardly noticeable, and afterwards, it's as if it never happened. 2 - same, but on the first wash, the color was barely there.
Overall: the color itself after dyeing is indeed bright, BUT only until the first wash. It washes out completely after a couple of hair washes. Perfect for indulging in for a festival or photoshoot, for example. Did not damage the hair structure.
Photos: 1 - pink, 2 - after washing out, 3 - flamingo, 4 - original hair color.
This product doesn't work well on natural hair. I have light brown hair and it only gave a subtle, almost unnoticeable lavender and purple shade. I think it's necessary to lighten the hair first and then use the product. Otherwise, the results are almost non-existent.
As for the balm itself, it applies smoothly, has an acceptable scent, and doesn't dry out the hair.
I bought the color fuchsia for my daughter. It is cost-effective and stays on evenly while also being easy to remove. We liked it.
Lasts for two weeks, just like a regular tonic.
Great conditioner. I bought it for my daughter's blond hair. I was afraid that the color wouldn't show up, but I didn't want to lighten it. The color turned out amazing, and my daughter loves it.
