I had been on the hunt for this powder for a while, having read that it was special and worked wonders in mattifying the face. However, it turned out to be quite ordinary and even less effective than a basic compact powder. It's difficult to get the right amount out of the container. At first, it doesn't come out at all, but if you tap too hard, you get too much. Initially, it can make your skin look too pale, and then it oxidizes and darkens. I have oily skin that starts to shine within an hour to an hour and a half, and my skin is thin and combination type. I use it over BB cream or foundation to set my makeup.
The powder is decent, nothing extraordinary, but I wouldn't call it bad either. I have oily skin, and this powder helps it stay matte for longer. With Maybelline Fit Me, my face looks greasy after just a couple of hours, but with Catrice, my skin looks reasonably good for about four hours.
