I really liked the gel. In my opinion, it doesn't foam up enough, but it's not a big deal.

I didn't like the gel because it doesn't foam at all (I prefer cleansers that foam), so you need to use a large amount of gel to wash properly. I don't know if it removes makeup (I don't wear any), but it probably performs its function adequately as there is a feeling of cleanliness on the face. I won't buy it again.
