I have dehydrated combination skin. I was looking for a cleanser that wouldn't dry out my skin but would still effectively cleanse it. I wasn't expecting any other effects. This gel is perfect!
Pros:
- Truly excellent cleansing. The manufacturer also claims that the gel removes makeup residue, but I haven't tested it. In my everyday life, I only use eyebrow pencil, and it removes that.
- The consistency is just right: not too runny and not too thick. It's easy to apply on the face.
- The packaging is of super high quality, including the dispenser. You can immediately tell that the manufacturers put effort not only into the product itself. It feels completely different in the hand compared to mass-market products. And the label doesn't smudge :)
- The scent is unusual. It's somewhat sour and herbal, yet fresh and subtle. Perception of scents is individual, but it suits me.
Why I deducted one star:
- Usually, I wash my face for about 30 seconds, and it doesn't leave my skin feeling tight. But! Once, I massaged my face for a minute or a minute and a half, and it dried out terribly, even though it shouldn't have. The product is "recommended for use as a soothing and restorative" even after "chemical peels, invasive cosmetic procedures, and sunburns" (information from the description). Shouldn't it be more gentle in this case?
Overall, I confidently recommend it!
This product worked well for my oily skin. I was satisfied with the gel. It doesn't dry out my skin, and it leaves it feeling soft. In my opinion, the scent is excellent. I also use a enzymatic mask from the same brand, and it has the same pleasant scent. The effect of the mask is impressive.
In a short period of time, I have become a fan of Tołpa due to the naturalness of their products. However, I realized that they don't have any products specifically for heavily oily skin. The mattifying effect only lasts for 2-3 hours. This particular product is unbelievably smelly to me. Even after a week of use, I couldn't get used to it.
Super! It cleans very well and doesn't cause any allergies. There are no unnecessary fragrances.
