TheBalm Sexy Mama Anti-Shine Powder Transparent Mattifying Powder

The powder is amazing, as it contains mica instead of talc. It doesn't clog pores and provides excellent mattifying throughout the day. It doesn't emphasize any flakiness or fine lines. I apply it with a powder puff using gentle patting motions.

I really liked the powder, I've wanted to order it for a long time. It is not visible on the face, but it mattifies quite well, even my oily skin. The design of theBalm is absolutely lovely. It doesn't have a scent, which I think is a plus. Yes, it's not very easy to pick up, it doesn't create any dust, but it's also very economical.

The natural brush does not pick up product well. You need either a stiff synthetic brush or a sponge. It is densely packed and therefore does not pick up product effectively. It's a shame because I specifically bought a new brush for powder. Instead, I have to use my old brush or a sponge. And with the new brush, I am using my old Maybelline powder. It's not convenient. I won't buy this powder again and will go back to Maybelline. Although the design and mirror are cool!

The powder is strange. At first, it only lasted for 30 minutes. My skin started to shine like never before, and there was a unpleasant feeling of a mask after application. However, considering that it doesn't contain talc, I decided to continue using it. I thought it would be better for the summer. Actually, it's fine now. But there are much better powders, like the one from Avene. This one has one downside though. It is very difficult to apply with a brush, you really need to put in some effort.

I have tried many ridiculous powders. I have combination skin, prone to oiliness, and it is also porous. This powder is the best out of all the ones I've tried, I will only buy this one from now on. It mattifies, without showing any flakiness (after being exposed to cold weather), and the skin looks great. It can be applied with a synthetic powder brush or a sponge, both in a thin layer. The only small drawback is that you need to buy a sponge separately, as it is not included with the powder if you carry it in your cosmetic bag.

Nevertheless, this powder remains my favorite.

In my opinion, the powder is truly invisible on the face, but its purpose of fixing and mattifying the skin is achieved. It really mattifies well, making it suitable for oily skin. That's why I saved it for summer. It is very densely packed, which may give the impression that it doesn't pick up well, but I use a sponge made of foam and it picks up nicely. It seemed to me that it dries out the face, which is why I saved it for summer. It does not emphasize any flakiness on the face and applies evenly.

Excellent powder!
1. It is weightless and does not create a mask effect on the face. It mattifies perfectly, not too much but just enough.
2. It does not dust! I don't know how one should apply this powder for it to dust, but I use a natural bristle brush (goat) and the powder does not create any dust.
3. It does not contain talc, and that is definitely a good thing!

I highly recommend this powder to all women with oily skin problems, as it does not clog pores, sets the foundation perfectly, and behaves excellently on the face throughout the day.
The only downside is that it does not come with a puff. However, I only use the powder during makeup application (during the day, I use mattifying wipes to control oiliness), so for me, it is not a downside at all.
