Hair coloring is a significant procedure that requires high expertise and special products for quality execution. It is particularly important to create the right shade, as even the smallest deviations from the chosen tone can lead to undesirable results. To address such a task, the professional product - Soboost SoColor & Color Sync Additives from the renowned American brand Matrix, is the perfect solution.
This product is specially designed to be added to the main palette of Matrix dyes. The rich shade of the booster, mixed with the base dye solution, can convey the desired color nuance and achieve the necessary hair color. The palette includes 4 vivid shades.
Usage recommendations:
Mixing proportions: Matrix dye + Matrix cream developer/Color Sync activator (1:1).
For example: 45 ml SOCOLOR.beauty/ColorSync + up to 15 ml Soboost + 60 ml Matrix cream developer/Color Sync activator. The processing time depends on the dye used.
Soboost can be mixed with almost any shade of SOCOLOR.beauty or COLOR SYNC. However, it is not recommended to mix boosters with UL-Bl (Extra.Blonde) and Dream.Age, as the result can be unpredictable.
Mixing with the Light Master bleaching powder is not recommended. If you need to lighten and tone simultaneously, we recommend using the COLOR GRAPHICS Lift&Tone lightening system.
Soboost can be used on its own to create vivid shades on pre-lightened hair. For this, you can use SOBOOST shades themselves with 3% (10V) MATRIX Cream Developer.
For example: 60ml SOBOOST + 60ml 3% (10V) MATRIX Cream Developer. Leave for 5-30 minutes depending on the desired intensity and depth of color.
Nevertheless, for increased durability of coloring on very bright shades, we recommend mixing SOBOOST in a 1:3 ratio with SOCOLOR.beauty or COLOR SYNC.
For example: 15ml SOBOOST + 45ml SOCOLOR.beauty + 60 ml MATRIX Cream Developer.
The less SOBOOST used in the formula, the less vivid the final shade will be.
Using SOBOOST Blue for creating very light blond or brunette shades.
The new SOBOOST Blue can be added to the mix when lightening natural hair. It helps neutralize warm undertones to achieve cooler results, without turning the hair blue.
For example: 60ml SOCOLOR.beauty 10Av + 5ml SOBOOST Blu. + 65ml Cream Developer 6% (20V).
Also, SOBOOST Blue can be used to enhance cool shades, while lowering the tone level. For this service, the following formula is recommended:
45ml SOCOLOR.beauty or COLOR SYNC + 15ml SOBOOST Blu. + 60ml Cream Developer/Activator.

I used the copper booster with the 8CG shade of ammonia-free dye in the recommended proportion. The result is amazing! Such a bright and saturated color, just what I wanted. However, there are a couple of drawbacks. Firstly, the booster has a terrible smell of rotten fish. But when mixed with dye, oxidizer, and bond, this smell is neutralized. Secondly, it is never available in Ukraine. I have to wait for delivery from Poland, and for some reason, the price is higher than other shades.
