I have always wanted to try the legendary Shalimar perfume. I love vintage fragrances, so reviews that describe it as "old-fashioned" or "for older women" actually intrigue me. However, I was deeply disappointed when I finally applied it. My first thought was, "Is this the famous Shalimar?!" It was nothing like what I had imagined. Firstly, it is not at all vintage. The initial notes are overpowering, and the subsequent stages leave me indifferent. It's a mixed feeling - neither good nor bad. I will continue to use it, but most likely, I won't repurchase it.

I randomly chose this fragrance with incense in the base solely based on reviews, and I didn't regret it. The decisive moment was the promotional video of Guerlain's Shalimar Legend with Zemira's music - it was the climax of chills on the skin.

Now let's talk about the fragrance itself - it's more of a philosophy and art rather than just a scent. It's very complex in its composition, elitist, and far from ordinary. At the top, there's more lemon than bergamot, the middle is powdery, and the base resonates with an animal ensemble - leather, musk, and civet. Frankincense and vanilla are quite subtle. It may not appeal to everyone, so it's worth testing. I give it 5 stars for its special multidimensionality. It's a comforting scent because it makes you feel confident.

I find it astonishing, but "L'Instant" smells like sweet powder on me, and I really like it.

For some reason, the day before my birthday, I become a perfume maniac! I want a bunch of different fragrances and I can't make up my mind. This time, I chose a vintage and legendary fragrance, Shalimar. I had never come across it before, but a miracle happened. It turned out to be absolutely mine, as if we only separated yesterday! I don't understand why, but as soon as I opened the package, I almost lost consciousness from the pleasure that engulfed me. Opium used to be my favorite, but now it had to make room on the pedestal. Classics are much better than any new releases. I wonder how the scents unfold on different girls! I don't get any citrus notes on myself, and thank God, Shalimar is difficult to break down into "notes," it's a rhapsody that you want to listen to endlessly.

But of course, I took a risk, these things need to be tested. Luckily! The longevity is excellent, I can still feel it on my wrist from morning till night. I have no doubt about its originality.

I cannot understand where all the enthusiastic reviews are coming from. The perfume is very heavy, if it weren't labeled as women's, I would have thought it was for men! It smells like burnt rubber. It does fade away over time, but the scent cannot be compared to Chanel No. 5 or any other classic fragrance. There are no feminine notes. I highly recommend testing it.

These perfumes are incredibly cool! Firstly, they are the eternal classics of perfumery! They were created by Jacques Guerlain, and in the Persian language, Shalimar means "the master of gardens." And it's no wonder - it smells of sweet oriental vanilla mixed with spices and roses. Of course, I recommend testing them before buying if possible, as oriental scents are not for everyone.

Shalimar is a powdery fragrance. It is very long-lasting, with just two sprays lasting the whole day. The scent starts off heavy but then becomes very elegant and lingering. This fragrance is perfect for those who love the smell of cosmetics and powder. In my opinion, Shalimar is a sweet and very unique fragrance. I agree with those who suggest trying it, as it is not immediately recognizable. This scent is definitely reminiscent of expensive perfumes.

I cannot use it, as the scent is very unpleasant to me. However, I am to blame myself as I mistakenly confused the name and ordered this version.

Having fallen in love with the EDT, I couldn't resist getting the EDP. Now, I'm sitting here, comparing my impressions. They are similar, like twin brothers that are hard to tell apart but impossible to mix up. From my perspective, the EDP offers a more complete and clearly structured unfolding of the fragrance pyramid. It starts with a strong citrus accord, with a slightly bitter peel... Then they become sweeter... Do they ripen?... :) Afterwards, flowers are added to the citrus notes. Many flowers. But jasmine stands out the most, and probably iris too, as there is a good amount of powder present as well. After a considerable amount of time, the flowers are replaced by a warm, dry sandalwood in a vanilla cloud. But somewhere very close to it, the citrus notes still linger. That's my personal journey through this magical garden. I suspect it's far from complete. A big thank you to the store for the excellent service.

I bought the sample in May. I tried to sniff it a few times - not my thing, that's it! Just one smell of rubber, that's all. I put it aside and forgot about it. And now I came across it again, in November, when it got colder outside - and I didn't recognize it. Where did the burnt tires go? I don't feel any rubber at all. It's like lemon in syrup, like mulled wine, I don't know, a cozy scarf that you want to wrap yourself in... From this, I conclude that (for me) it's a winter fragrance.

I have run out of Shalimar Initial and can't find it anywhere, they say it has been discontinued. Well, that's a shame. I bought this classic as a replacement. It is truly something. At first, it has a very sharp scent, I even thought it smelled like my grandfather's triple cologne. But after 30-40 minutes, it unfolds into an incredible aroma. I can't understand what notes it has, it is both fresh, sweet, and powdery, a very deep and iridescent scent. I just walk around and enjoy it. I asked my son, he said it has a very soft and warm smell, very pleasant. I can feel it on myself when I start moving, otherwise, I just blend in with it. Simply incomparable, very long-lasting.
