Intimate Hygiene Gel - Uriage GYN-8 Toilette Intime Gel Apaisant
I have been using this gel for 2 years and have had no complaints, but this time it caused a burning sensation. Additionally, the tube itself was without a protective seal, which it should have had. The composition is identical, perhaps it is a counterfeit.
The gynecologist prescribed this gel for a teenage girl, but not for everyday use. Everything worked well. The only inconvenience is the tube. It would be better if it had a dispenser.
This gel was recommended to me by a doctor, and I have been using it for about 9 years. I am completely satisfied with it, as it has no side effects and personally suits me well.

I have been buying this product not for the first time, previously from a pharmacy. It is prescribed by my gynecologist for irritation, burning, and itching during menopause. It effectively relieves symptoms of candida and other discomforts. However, it should only be used for 7-14 days as it is a medicinal treatment, not for daily use. Afterwards, I switch to Epigen as advised by my gynecologist. If it causes dryness, I moisturize with oils after hygiene - such as coconut, wheat germ, pumpkin, or apricot kernel oil. Each person has their own preferences. If the oil suits me, I can use it for up to six months before switching to a different one. That's about it.
I really liked it. It's thick, and it washes off nicely.
The product foams too much and is difficult to rinse off. It would be more convenient if it came in a pump bottle.

I agree with Svetlana from Kiev that this gel is not suitable for daily use (there is another gel in the same series for that).
It should only be used when there is a disturbance in the vaginal microflora and itching or irritation occurs.

This item is amazing! The scent is very delicate and pleasant. However, it should not be used for more than 10 days consecutively. It is not an everyday intimate hygiene gel, but rather for occasional use or as a preventive measure against irritation. Natasha, regarding why it is for women, it contains lactic acid which is necessary for the normal flora of the female mucosa. Men do not need to use it.
This is an excellent product. I don't understand why it is stated that the gender is female - my husband also uses it and he is also satisfied.
