Regarding the effectiveness, I haven't quite figured it out yet, but this salt has a terrible odor.

The salt is good. It is not wet or smelly. It is just regular.

In the past, other manufacturers have sometimes been guilty of dirt, wet salt in the package, excessive coarse salt, etc. I decided to try the Green Pharmacy salt, and then this "surprise" happened. It's really disappointing, I had to throw it away.
