This balm is terrible, it feels like you're smearing yourself with a paraffin candle, it doesn't moisturize or nourish. I didn't like the smell either. I threw it in the trash. We haven't found anything better than Mentholatum yet.

I was ready to sing praises to this product, BUT the manufacturer changed the formula.
After my last purchase in August 23rd, I noticed that they changed the formula. Now it painfully STINGS the lips, and I have to constantly reapply for moisture.
Changing the formula is the most cunning thing a manufacturer can do. You use it, and then bam, they let you down.
P.S. Now the previous positive reviews hold no power.
Background story: it was stored in my mom's cabinet for about 5 years, and when I took it out a few years ago, it didn't even lose its properties. However, after the formula change, the lip balm became terrible!

I was looking for a quality lip balm for the winter and ended up buying Weleda. Unfortunately, it didn't live up to my expectations. It felt just like a cheap lip balm, with no quality to it. It's basically just glycerin on the lips, without any moisturizing effect. It's unpleasant and ineffective to just apply a layer of glycerin on top. I won't be buying it again.

The scent is subjective, it smells strongly of honeycomb, specifically beeswax from honeycombs. Personally, I like the smell, but it may not be for everyone. It reminds me of the scent of candles in a church, honestly.
Secondly, if you expect it to be soft and melt on your lips, then this one really does have a consistency similar to a candle. And to those who write that over time their balm melted, broke, or leaked due to heat, they are right because the balm contains various waxes. So far, everything is fine with mine, and I only opened it about a year after purchasing it, and nothing happened to it while it was in its packaging.
I deducted a star because there are balms that are better and even slightly cheaper. The ideal balm for me was LipIce (that's what it was called), it was divine in every sense. Then it was discontinued, and finally, I found the ideal balm for myself, inexpensive, lasts a long time, stays on the lips for an insanely long time, doesn't roll off, and moisturizes like crazy. I spent a lot of effort and energy to find the same LipIce but in different packaging (I found the same manufacturer, a conglomerate, they produce the balm under the brand Mentholatum). It is simply the BEST.

The scent also wasn't very pleasant, but that's subjective, as it has a strong aroma of rose essential oil.
