Mega Strong Styling Gel - Schwarzkopf Taft Power Invisible Gel
Affordable fragrance, but unisex and without obvious masculine undertones. However, it falls short of the promised longevity. Therefore, I rated it 3 stars. It leaves a residue. It is suitable for braiding hair as it is not sticky at all.
Thank you, I liked it!
I didn't like the gel. Here are its downsides: it makes my bleached hair dry, doesn't hold the curls made with a curling iron, and steals the natural shine of the hair. On the other hand, it has some positives: a pleasant smell, not sticky, and provides volume. I'll go back to using mousse, as it is almost perfect compared to this gel.
I purchased this product for the curly hair method. It is a good gel that smells pleasant. It suited me well and my curls looked great. However, I used too much for refreshing my hair, so it ended up looking slightly wet. I mixed it with water in my hands and applied it to my curls.
I have curly hair and this is my first time trying this product. I really liked it. It holds my curls perfectly and they feel soft, not sticky.
I have curly and coarse hair that tends to get frizzy. I bought a gel to define my curls and smooth my hair. After washing, I applied a generous amount of gel to my damp hair. It effectively holds my curls, leaving my hair looking well-groomed and moisturized. However, after using the black Taft foam, my hair feels dry, but my hairstyle is better fixed. Therefore, the gel was not enough for me in terms of hold. If you have manageable, non-frizzy hair, this gel would be suitable for you.
The gel holds really well and it is not sticky.
Everything is great! Thank you!
Fixes very lightly, doesn't weigh down, helps structure curls with the curly girl method)
Great gel, if your goal is not to seal your hair forever :)
I use it for the curly method. It satisfies me more than enough. There is no stickiness or clumping effect, it dries moderately, longer than mousse, of course. It holds well, curls look natural, and with a refresh, it lasts for 3 days (meaning on the 2nd and 3rd day, I do a refresh and after drying, I feel the cast).
The presence of frizz depends on:
- how you sleep (if you don't wrap your hair in a turban to prevent it from moving around on the pillow, it will even be present with a gel worth 5k);
- how you dry it. If you break the cast before it is completely dry, there will be frizz.
The gel is not always to blame. This product is quite good. I recommend it.
I didn't notice any significant difference with it or without it.
Nothing special. Even without it, my curls still hold up, it even weighs them down a bit.
Invisible, doesn't dry out hair, and applies easily. As for the hold, I wouldn't say it's very strong - maybe around 3.5 out of 5. Of course, it's possible that it's just my curls. Definitely worth a try.
After reading reviews about this eyebrow gel, I decided to buy it in hopes of saving some money. Unfortunately, it doesn't hold anything in place.
I bought this product for eyebrow styling, but it doesn't hold them at all.
I also found it unsuitable for the curly method. I tried it on wet, damp, and dry hair. Instead of curls, my hair unraveled and turned into icicles. However, my hair does not hold any hairstyles very well. Even super strong hairspray doesn't work. The curls only stay in place if I wrap them around a ponytail without any styling products.
This gel was completely unsuitable for the curly hair method. I applied it to wet hair (as the method requires), and I tried applying more or less of it, but the result was poor. My hair became sticky, and the curls did not hold. My hair is quite stiff, so perhaps it may work better for those with softer curls. However, this is probably not the right product after all.
The gel is long-lasting, I also use it for shaping my eyebrows. It looks incredibly beautiful on short haircuts, especially when creating a wet hair effect. It's also decent for small curls, but it does make them a bit clumpy and not well-defined.
I bought this product for styling curls using the curly method. The advantages are that it spreads well, blends well with water, and is very (REALLY VERY) fixing. The lower curls, which tend to separate quickly and fall on my neck and back, held up until the end. I have hair that goes below my waist, and this gel keeps it in a twisted state. The disadvantages are that it is difficult to break down the cast and it is easy to overdo it. If you apply more than necessary, the hair becomes stiff. But on the other hand, this is because it has mega strong hold.
I use it for the curly method, the cast breaks easily (the curls become more defined). I apply literally two drops, if I need to enhance the curl then more. The product washes off very easily in the shower (no need to soak, which is a plus).
