The unique and versatile Barrier-Base Coat is a remarkable strengthening and restoring treatment for weak and thin nails that require fortitude and resilience. The innovative formula, developed by the Swiss company Mavala, incorporates special strengthening and protective components that will make the nail plate smooth, strong, and elastic.
Over time, the sensitive nail plate becomes weaker and thinner. Exposed to certain substances included in nail polish compositions, nails dehydrate, become brittle, scratched, and damaged. The moisturizing ingredients of the coating imbue the nail with moisture, eliminating cracks, brittleness, and dryness of the nail, helping to maintain its flexibility and resilience.
Nails will become healthier and denser, better retaining polish, ceasing to yellow, and avoiding dehydration.
Regular use of Barrier-Base Coat before manicure will make your nails vivid and healthy, and your hands - well-groomed and delightful.
This is not a "base" in the usual sense. The product itself does not adhere to the nails at all. It washes off with water in one day. After using this product, it is necessary to apply nail polish. Then, the nails do become less dry. I cannot say that this product noticeably extends the wear of nail polish. The polish lasts as usual, four to five days (with a top coat). I give a low rating to the product itself because it is completely impossible to use it independently, without nail polish and a top coat on top.
Important point. The product cannot be worn without a top coat. It simply comes off the nails on the first day (it's light and water-based).
But if you follow the instructions, which means applying this strengthening base first, and then any nail polish - everything works perfectly. The polish lasts longer, and the nails become healthier and stronger.
I deducted one star because of this issue, the lack of versatility, and the inability to simply apply a healing base and let the nails rest from polish.
This product is excellent! It is practically odorless! It dries very quickly! I highly recommend it.
I have been using this product for a few months. My nails have been peeling for as long as I can remember. Unfortunately, during the time I've been using this product, my nails have become even drier, completely crumbling and peeling. Regrettably, this product does not help at all, and it feels like a waste of money.
