I have been using this pencil for many years and I really like it, but I bought it for makeup for the first time. I highly recommend it.
I received the 403 shade a long time ago and haven't used it much, but I loved it and bought the Art Visage brand. I am a brunette and I really liked this pencil because it created natural hair strokes so delicately. But unfortunately, it is no longer available. I still have some remnants of Flomar pencils (just in case) and compared them to the 404 shade. The color of the lead is different, but when applied, it gives the same light cool ashy graphite color. I outline with it and then set it with Artdeco powder shadows. Thankfully, I still have Flomar. I should stock up just in case.
The pencil is really good. I bought shade 401 for lips, and it suits blondes. However, it tends to make eyebrows slightly reddish, depending on personal preference. On the lips, it creates a subtle shade and lasts well.
I am very pleased with pencil 405. It is gray with a slight brown undertone. Before this, I had been buying pencil 403 for many years, which was also nice, but I prefer 405 more.

Therefore, it is only recommended if there is already a reddish pigment in the hair. If there is a cool pigment in the hair, it is best to avoid this product. Overall, the quality is nothing special.
