Nasomatto Black Afgano Perfume

These perfumes are luxurious. My husband is delighted with them. They are very long-lasting. They have various notes that unfold beautifully. Even after washing, clothes still smell wonderful.

I bought this product for myself and I enjoy using it. I consider the scent to be more feminine. Why? Because sometimes I hear the question "what is that cool smell?". Also, because as an experiment, I tried it on almost all of my male acquaintances. No, boys, this is not your scent. Maybe it suits Italians well, or someone else... After all, it's a different climate, a different body chemistry. On our men, it becomes overwhelming and stuffy, whether it's just one spray or half a spray. Definitely needs testing. But not in the market (due to the abundance of counterfeit products), it must be the original. And a separate thank you and respect to Makeup for original perfumery. Out of the dozens of bottles I have bought here, not a single flaw.

There is something addictive about it. I really liked it, but after about 8 hours, its powerful and intense scent started to become annoying, and after 12 hours, I had to wash it off because it was really bothering me. I think if you are outside all day, then yes, but definitely not for the office or work indoors. It's better to test it first before blindly buying it.

This is an incredible fragrance. They are worth the money. I bought them for my husband, but when I smelled this scent, now I want them for myself too. At first, they seem sweet and pleasant. And then a note of resinous wood appears. It's a very cool aroma.

I have been using this fragrance for three years and I cannot find a better scent for myself. And I am not looking for one. These perfumes convey mood and sensuality, they mesmerize and attract, as if they lure you and you get lost in awe. They are sexy and intoxicating. They are not for everyone, only for the chosen ones, with a sense of a free spirit and a free personality, passionate and daring nature.

I tried a sample (not from here). What can I say - it's just not for me! The scent is truly awful. Thick, heavy... It smells like some kind of medicine, really reminds me of a forbidden substance (opium, hashish), I don't know... I have no experience, but for some reason, it gives me the impression of drug addiction :))) The 2ml sample will just stay on the shelf. Recently, I dared to spray it on my wrist, thinking maybe I'll give it a try! But no, I couldn't even wash it off. After it started choking me, I managed to spray some Aventus on it ::) That's where divinity lies! And then I could go to sleep.

I don't know, maybe the sample was bad, but I don't think so. I simply don't understand how it can appeal to many people! Very suffocating :((

I approached the official Nasomatto stand in a shopping center. The consultant applied two fragrances, Black Afgano and Fantomas, on blotter cards. I was not familiar with them before, and as is often the case in the niche fragrance world, it takes more than one encounter to fully understand all aspects of a scent. I kept the blotter cards and took them home. It didn't take long for Black Afgano to fill the entire room with an amazing scent. Seriously, I was very surprised that such a strong smell could come from just a piece of paper. The next day, I went back to the stand and applied it to my skin. I could still smell it throughout the evening, night, and morning. It even faintly lingered after a shower. I decided that this perfume must be on my shelf. BUT I encountered a problem. The prices were different everywhere. It was 4k in one store and 2.5k in another. All the perfumes I bought here were definitely original, and I have bought quite a few. I remember experiencing longevity issues with luxury perfumes a couple of times. But I attributed it to batch variations, marketing tricks with testers, and so on. This shouldn't happen in the niche fragrance world, especially not with the nuclear Black Afgano. I received my package and let it settle after the journey. And then came the disappointment... It felt like it was diluted by about 40%. It disappeared from my skin in just an hour. Out of curiosity, I took a fragrance-free part of the same blotter card and applied it there. There was no trace of it in the morning. The same blotter card, on the other hand, lasted for more than a week and still had a slight base note. How is this possible? All the signs of authenticity are present. Wooden cap, clear and even text, color of the liquid, color of the sprayer, sticker on the back of the box, bottle bottom with a batch number. But it's as if the contents were swapped. How do you, makeup, do this? Do you intentionally trade defective batches at a low price? The same thing happened with my previous orders of Creed Aventus and Prada L'Homme. It's profitable, isn't it? I can't return it because, by law, the product is not eligible for return, and the customer service representatives respond with template phrases about differences in scent perception and proper air-spray removal techniques... I honestly don't recommend buying here to those who plan to place an order. It's better to pay more and buy offline. Test it beforehand.

PS I waited for the shipment for about a week, and I guess they included a bonus gift due to the delay. A miniature denture cream. Are you serious? My age is clearly stated in my profile. This is one of those cases where it's better not to include anything as a gift. It feels more like mockery.

I absolutely adore them, but only on my significant other. They give off a strong scent that I find overwhelming. It's simply out of this world, long-lasting, expensive, and has a beautiful fragrance. It just opens up so beautifully on men.

For me, this fragrance is a complete disappointment. It's not that I didn't like it, but rather that it didn't impress me at all. Based on numerous reviews on various websites and forums, I concluded that people either fall in love with this fragrance or hate it, but it definitely doesn't leave anyone indifferent. Some people dedicated entire poetic odes to it, comparing it to the saddle of a sweaty horse or the damp hold of a tobacco-filled ship. By the way, the negative reviews were equally eloquent.

Imagine my disappointment when, after applying it, I smelled a typical masculine cologne, you know, like the one on a fat guy in a 50-year-old suit. It's a generic image, nothing individual or interesting. I've already mentioned the cannabis note, I know very well how it smells when it's green, dried, or burning ;) and I didn't detect it in any form here.

I'm not an expert in perfumery, but I can usually distinguish different notes in fragrances. With this one, everything is very flat (I'm 100% sure about the originality of this perfume). I also understand that people can perceive the same fragrance differently, and I believe that it might truly impress someone. However, I would like my review to serve as a warning for those considering purchasing it, that they might experience the same thing as me, or rather, nothing at all. It happens, not everyone is left in awe by this fragrance.

P.S. I also read that Afghan was considered the coolest fragrance until 2014, then it was reformulated and lost some notes. After 2017, it was reformulated again and completely lost its former glory. Perhaps this could also be the case.

My number one choice.

Recently, I finally received the long-awaited Afghan fragrance! It may sound silly, but I blindly ordered it based on the reviews of perfume bloggers. The delivery was made from a warehouse in the EU and arrived on time as indicated in the estimated delivery date. It is very long-lasting - just two sprays on my skin lasted the whole day, and even now, after coming home from work, I can still feel this scent on myself.

As for the fragrance itself, I had mixed feelings at first. After applying it, personally, it reminded me of a faint, sour smell of decay, which confused me. However, the longer it stayed on me, the better it unfolded, pleasantly surprising me. I couldn't detect any hints of hemp in it, no matter how much I wanted to. In my opinion, the most pleasant aspect of the Afghan fragrance is in the middle of the pyramid, the so-called "heart notes." It is unlike any of the perfumes I own or have had before. I have come to the conclusion that I like it, but I wouldn't choose it as my only fragrance for everyday use.

My first encounter with this fragrance left me in a state of wild excitement. I had never smelled anything like it before. It was something completely new to me. The long-lasting scent of this perfume kept me thinking about it for two weeks. I was simply crazy about it. I had to buy it. No regrets! I really enjoy it a lot.

This fragrance has deeply impressed me. Undoubtedly, the creator of this scent, Alessandro Gualtieri, is one of the perfume geniuses. I took a risk and purchased it without testing it beforehand, based on reviews, and I made the right choice. It's one of those rare cases where all the notes mentioned in the description are present, although they may unfold gradually and not all at once.

Magical aroma! It has coffee, smokiness, and tobacco! Sometimes it's like pipe tobacco, sometimes raw like a cigarette. It always unfolds differently! A warm extravagant bitterness. I've never smoked grass, only sniffed it, but I can believe that it's there in principle))

I do not recommend it. The bottle and cap are original, but the fragrance itself is diluted. It lasts no more than 2 hours. I am disappointed.

I purchased this product on Make up and I am very satisfied with it. It was delivered to the pick-up point on time.

Regarding the authenticity of this perfume, I can assure you that it is 100% original. I have compared it to the one we bought in Rome, the Black Afgano. I went through all the possible checks: the packaging, the box, the glass bottle, and the cap. Each Black Afgano has a wooden charred cap, which is different for every bottle. On the other hand, the counterfeit ones have a perfectly symmetrical cap that smells like paint or plastic. Additionally, the color of the liquid in the bottle is closer to violet when exposed to light (this is true for two of the bottles I have). So, I am absolutely certain that this is an original product.

Now, let's talk about the fragrance. Two sprays are enough. The scent is very rich, but it may be difficult to understand at first. In the first hour, it smells like freshly cut wood soaked in oils and resins, generously sprinkled with grass (not the kind you find on a lawn). It even has a somewhat cloyingly sweet tone. After that, the smell transforms into a mix of smoke, burnt wood, and freshly mown grass. That's the best way I can describe it. You need to wear this fragrance for about a week to fully appreciate it. Personally, I started to really like it on the third day. However, it's not an everyday scent for me. I reserve it for cold autumn or winter evenings when going out. For everyday use, I prefer Prada l'homme (a modern classic) and Tom Ford Oud Wood (my favorite fragrance).

In terms of longevity, it is very long-lasting on clothes (until it goes through the washing machine). Even when I think there is no scent left, people can still smell it.

P.S. Please do not judge the authenticity of a perfume solely based on its longevity. This is a very individual aspect. Many "experts" assess perfumes only based on this criterion. Wishing you all the best and complimentary fragrances.

Different people, different opinions - from absolute delight to complete disappointment, even rejection upon acquaintance with Black Afgano. I already have my tenth bottle, and each one has its own unique scent. I particularly love the earlier releases of this fragrance, as they have a more mossy, chypre-like quality.

For connoisseurs of leather fragrances, Black Afgano is a real find. However, it should not be confused with the leather-gourmand perfumes from Tom Ford, which are more popular and complimentary - everyone wants them. On the other hand, Black Afgano won't necessarily evoke admiration from those around you, even though perfumes are generally bought for oneself. But for some reason, everyone expects others to be impressed.

To me, Black Afgano smells like a Turkish leather saddle with evident notes of hashish and a hint of frankincense. However, it is not your typical smoky and sweet fragrance, but rather dry and bitter, with a resinous undertone. The background of the perfume reminds me of burnt wood and dried tobacco leaves, not the ready-made tobacco, but rather the fermentation process. I also detect the scent of heavily roasted Arabic coffee beans, a creamy accord, and a touch of freshly cut meadow grass - not just any grass, but a mix of various grasses.

For those who are interested, Carner Barcelona's Cuir is another fragrance that is more intense and has a strong sillage, and it bears a striking resemblance to Black Afgano.

The fragrance is definitely intriguing, long-lasting, and has a good sillage. One spritz is enough! However, it is definitely not suitable for the summer, as it is too heavy and intense.

I expected more. Either the new version is not the same as the original, or it is no longer fashionable to make super strong and long-lasting perfumes (respecting personal space). Alessandro Gualtieri's creativity shines through in another one of his works - Boccanera (Orto Parisi). In my opinion, it is even better than Afghan. From the same fragrance direction, I preferred Black Oud by LM Parfums and Sehr Al Kalemat (Kalemat Black) by Arabian Oud. However, everyone has different tastes. Yes, Afghan is, I believe, a more masculine scent than feminine.

Great perfume! People who know it understand that it cannot be compared to any other fragrance! Black Afgano has only one worthy competitor, which is Coquillete Herat!
