In my opinion, this body butter is excellent, but it's not meant for use all over the body—just for the driest areas like feet, elbows, and rough patches. The scent is rich and intense; you don't really notice any orange aroma—just a strong sweet almond fragrance. It doesn't leave a sticky feeling or clog pores. It moisturizes well and absorbs quickly, but I must emphasize again that I use it only for dry and rough areas. It's not a body lotion to be applied from head to toe.
The cream is not bad. I use it for my feet, elbows, and hands. It provides good nourishment without feeling sticky. It has a very rich and sweet almond scent. I initially thought it would also have a hint of orange, but the fragrance fades quickly from the skin, so it doesn't become overwhelming.
I don't have any issues with the smell. Honestly, I don't understand why everyone thinks it stinks. Yes, the scent in the jar is different from how it smells on the skin (it's nicer in the jar), but that doesn't bother me. I mainly use the oil for my feet. I have very dry feet, and not every cream works for them, but this oil nourishes the skin perfectly. Sometimes, I even apply it to my body.
This was a very unpleasant experience for me. While it moisturizes well, the smell is unbearable. I couldn't even use it on my feet because the cream has a strong odor reminiscent of urine! I'm sorry, but I applied it on my hands before going out, and I couldn't figure out what smelled so bad. It's awful.
I was really eager to try it, but I decided against it when I saw that it contains phenoxyethanol, a harmful preservative. For instance, it's banned in Japan. If it's in eco-friendly cosmetics, it means the product is made using an outdated formula, and the company should either change this or stop marketing it as completely natural. There are safer preservatives available. I'm disappointed.
I agree with many of the comments—how did I not notice this before? The smell is truly awful, especially on the skin. It's not just that it's overly sweet; when you apply it, it starts to evaporate and the fumes are just terrible, reminiscent of unwashed body parts...
The product is overly sweet and sticky, so I had to wash it off to prevent my family from feeling overwhelmed. If you enjoy a very sweet taste, it might be okay for you. It doesn't spread well, so you end up using a lot of cream each time. I think if it had a fresher scent, it would be worth the price.
The smell is just awful.
I purchased it about 5 years ago. While it smells great in the jar, on the skin it has a scent often described as "old lady." So, it's definitely not suitable for use all over the body. However, I've found it perfect for my heels. When applied in small amounts and kept away from the nose, it works wonderfully. I've been using it on my heels all these years, and they are soft and beautiful. Highly recommend it!
The scent is very rich. Overall, it has a pleasant and smooth texture, relieves irritation, and absorbs quickly into the skin.
I agree about the smell; it's not very pleasant. However, it does a great job with moisturizing.
The product is quite greasy and doesn't absorb quickly into the skin. If applied in small amounts, it's not too bad, but otherwise, it has a strong waxy scent (like a candle) that lingers for a long time.
The scent in the container is nice and almond-like, but on my skin, it smells like urine. It might be different for everyone, but other girls mentioned experiencing a similar scent. From this series, the one with rose is the best for me.
I'm buying my fifth jar. Different batches do vary in consistency and scent. I use it as a hand and elbow cream at night. I'm not sure if I should credit the cream, but the quality of my nails is amazing. They used to be brittle and always splitting. As for the scent, I pick up a beeswax aroma, which I like. Once, I caught a whiff of what some might call an "old lady" smell, but then it went back to beeswax. I bought a new one today, haven't tried it yet. But it's my fifth jar of this particular version.
The product has an overwhelming smell of machine oil, which triggers a gag reflex. Its consistency is like thick pudding and it's sticky. It's the worst product I've encountered from Yaka.
Great cream, it nourishes and moisturizes well, preventing the skin from flaking, especially in winter. I really liked the scent.
Did not like it.
In the box, the oil had a strong bitter almond scent. However, after applying it, an orange fragrance emerged, but it wasn't the citrus scent I expected. Instead, it was a very strong and overpowering orange blossom aroma. After an hour, I had to take a shower to wash it off.
I haven't used it since the first try, so I couldn't determine if it has a moisturizing effect.
It leaves a terrible scent on the skin. The almond smell turns into an odor reminiscent of urine.
For dry skin, this product is just what you need. I recommend it.
It moisturizes really well and has a pleasant texture. The scent is nice when first applied, but after about 10 minutes, it changes to something less pleasant.
I bought it as part of a set. It has a strong smell of cheap almond fragrance. (Just so you know, there's no such thing as almond essential oil!))))
I buy it for the texture :) It's very pleasant to apply, provides good hydration, and has a mild, pleasant scent. In the same product line, there's an oil with a rose scent, which has a somewhat strange smell, but this one has a standard and pleasant fragrance.
I didn't buy it here, but I haven't found a better skincare product, especially at such an affordable price. I have very dry hands that often get chapped, and I've tried various creams and masks, but nothing worked as well as this oil. It instantly revitalized my skin, leaving it velvety even after frequent hand washing. Yes, the scent is strong. It feels like I've rubbed marzipan on myself, but I actually like it. The smell fades away after about 5 minutes.
I would like to give this oil a positive review. The unpleasant smell only lasts for about 20 minutes, and then it disappears completely. However, after just one use, my skin feels incredibly smooth and silky. The moisturizing effect lasts for a full day. I have problematic skin and occasional allergies, and I am over 50 years old. This oil does an excellent job of calming my skin. I highly recommend it and plan to purchase it again.
The smell on the skin is awful. When applied, it initially smells like almonds, but after a few minutes, it turns into the stench of dirty socks mixed with something else unpleasant. I had to take another shower and threw the oil away.
I didn't purchase this on Makeup, but I decided to leave a review. The scent is definitely unique and lingers on the skin. However, I really liked the results from using it. I apply it twice a week after a hot bath and body scrub at night, then in the morning, I take a light shower and apply body lotion. I might try other oils from this brand.
For some reason, it smells like marzipan to me, and I can't detect any almond or orange scent at all. The fragrance strongly reminds me of the "Chocolate and Marzipan" Shea Butter Body Cream-Oil by Fresh Juice.
It smells strongly of almond, more like apricot kernels, but it's pleasant. :)
I have been familiar with this brand's creams for a long time, but this is the first time I've purchased this particular one. I have to agree with some comments regarding the scent. It has a very strong almond fragrance, which might not be to everyone's liking. However, it does a good job of moisturizing the skin. I'm giving it 4 out of 5 stars, mainly because of the scent.
Amazing oil! My skin feels hydrated and nourished. Even if I forget to apply it after a shower, the effects from the previous application still last. I'm extremely pleased with this oil.
The scent deserves special mention. In the jar, it smells a bit strong—what do you expect, almond oil has its own distinct scent. However, on the skin, it transforms into the fragrance of floral meadows and forest honey. With this oil, you don't even need perfume. Your skin smells divine.
But if you do want to use perfume, the oil's scent doesn't overpower it.
I'll definitely buy this again! I'm thrilled!
The quality of the cream is still decent, but those who remember the original formulation when it first came out will notice a difference. Unfortunately, like many things, it has gotten worse over time.
Amazing foot cream! It incredibly softens the skin and prepares it for pumice exfoliation. If you shower in the morning, apply the cream to your feet at night, and then clean them in the shower. The results are simply fantastic!
This is an excellent cream with a wonderful texture that provides great moisture. I'm not sure why some people think it smells bad; it has absolutely no unpleasant odor. Initially, it has a rich, pleasant scent, which quickly fades to a subtle, neutral fragrance.
The scent is really awful. I applied it to my hands at work, and shortly after, I had to wash it off because I couldn't concentrate. I'll take it home and use it on my feet at night instead.
This is an amazing rich cream-oil with the scent of fresh almonds. Forget any misconceptions about it smelling like old clothes or grandmas—nothing of the sort! I'm buying it for the third time, and I really hope they don't discontinue it or change its wonderful formula!
The scent is pleasant at first, but after applying it to the skin, it smells like old ladies. It doesn't fully absorb into the skin, which is unpleasant. I won't be buying it again.
The cream's texture is wonderful—rich but quickly absorbed, providing excellent hydration. However, the scent is initially pleasant and unique, but eventually, it starts to smell like a damp, musty cloth.
This body oil has amazing properties. I previously used the Rose scent (which I absolutely love), so I decided to try the Almond and Orange variant. However, the scent completely ruined it for me—it's just awful. In the jar, it smells fine, and for the first 20 minutes on the skin, it's okay too. But then something changes, and it starts to smell like unwashed vagrants, reminiscent of three-day-old urine. I thought it might just be my skin's reaction, so I let a friend try it, and she had the same experience! Clearly, something needs to be done about the fragrance composition of this particular cream. (Just to note, the Rose variant is fantastic both in scent and properties. I haven't tried the Lemon and Mint yet.)
Excellent!
I used to alternate between this oil and the Rose version, but over time I noticed that it really dries out my skin. My skin isn't extremely dry, but the oil made it even drier. I've now switched to a cream oil from Fresh Juice, and I like it much better. This oil has a pleasant scent, a thick consistency, and a smooth, melting texture, but unfortunately, it no longer suits me. It's important to remember that everyone's experience is different.
The scent is fine; I'm quite picky, but it really is pleasant. It moisturizes the skin well without leaving any residue. I order it for myself, my mom, and my sister. I also use Aquolina body products, which are much more expensive, but this cream-oil is just as good. Yes, it's different, but definitely not a "nightmare" as some reviews say.
I want to give credit to this wonderful product. Ladies, before criticizing an unfamiliar scent, it's worth understanding how natural products actually smell, as opposed to the overwhelming synthetic fragrances we've been exposed to for the past 20 years. For example, get acquainted with the scent of bitter almonds, even in its oil form—that's exactly what this cream smells like, with a subtle hint of orange oil (not the fruit itself, but the oil!). Once you do, you'll stop imagining unpleasant odors like sweat, old people, or medicine. Just a bit of poetic insight. I'm almost sad that the almond scent fades on the skin, but it's actually a good thing—it won't clash with your perfume.
As for the cream itself, the consistency is pleasant: thick and rich, it doesn't absorb instantly (which is typical for natural oils!). Yet, it doesn't leave a greasy film on my dry skin. Coconut oil is greasier, takes longer to rub in, and leaves a slight shine, but this cream doesn’t, making it suitable for daytime use. I really (!) liked it and hope it won't be discontinued. The store and delivery were excellent as always, and the expiration date was in order.
The smell!!!!! It might be an okay product, but I can't even open the jar. When I used a little just once, everyone asked what that awful smell was.
I finished my jar of "Lemon and Mint" and decided to try a different scent. The product's performance is great, no complaints there. However, the smell is a different story... I usually love almond and citrus, but this one has an odd, greasy undertone. I should have stuck with my favorite and avoided the disappointment.
The smell is just awful; my whole body reeks of something rotten after using it. Maybe I got a defective cream because I can't imagine anyone would intentionally produce something that stinks this much. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone—it's a waste of money.
The scent in the box is absolutely amazing! It has a strong aroma of roasted almonds. When applied to the skin, it blends with your natural scent, which is why some people love it while others might not. On the skin, the fragrance is less intense and has a different character, appealing to those with specific tastes.
For those concerned about the scent, the oil smells like marzipan candies! Yes, the fragrance is strong and sweet, but I don't find anything unpleasant about the smell of marzipan. It dissipates quickly and leaves a much subtler almond scent on your hands. It provides decent nourishment; my skin gets very dry in the winter, and I used it daily. While one application didn't make my skin perfect, it worked well as a daily moisturizer for dry skin. I plan to try more oils from this brand.
Great hand lotion! I really liked it! The scent is pleasant, and the texture absorbs well. It doesn't leave a greasy residue on the skin and effectively softens it.
I've used this product for the second time. I bought it here because I remembered its amazing almond scent. It nourishes the skin quite well, but I think it might not be effective for very dry skin.
The scent is overpowering! It's scary to apply this to the skin. The "almond" smell in this butter is very strong and unpleasant.
I usually don't pay much attention to the scent of a product, but I can't ignore it this time. I've never encountered a cream with such an unpleasant smell in my life! For the first time, I can't use a product because of its odor. It reeks like something spoiled, to the point of making me nauseous. I have no idea if it moisturizes well or not, and frankly, I don't care. I won't be applying it to my skin again.
I've been using the oil all over my body and I really like it. The scent might not be for everyone, but it doesn't bother me. I prefer it over the rose scent. The price is great too.
Overall, the oil is good, but the smell isn't great.
This is my favorite product; everything about it is perfect for me—the properties and the scent. I use it on my hands and feet during the cold season.
I really liked it. It's a thick, pleasant oil. The scent might not be for everyone, but I enjoy it. It provides good, long-lasting moisture. For those with normal skin, you might only need to use it every other day.
I tried the Schisandra oil for the first time and it was amazing. When it wasn't available, I decided to try this one. What can I say? The oil is fantastic in terms of texture and effect. However, the scent was a letdown. There's no hint of orange, and the lingering "aftertaste" is quite unpleasant. It's disappointing.
I've purchased this oil for the second time. It provides excellent hydration and is easy to apply. As for the scent, it's a typical almond smell. Initially, I was a bit concerned because it seemed quite strong, but it turned out to be fine when using it. I mostly applied it to my legs and ankles, which get particularly dry during the colder months. It worked perfectly for me.
Unfortunately, I didn't read the reviews for this oil beforehand. The oil itself is great, but the scent is terrible. It's very strong and has lasted on me for six hours already, and it's still there!
The oil is excellent, and the delivery was fantastic! Personally, the scent that appears afterward doesn't bother me and it dissipates quickly.
When I opened the jar, I was hit by a strong, almost chemical scent of fruit pits. The texture is very smooth, like an oily mousse, but it doesn't feel greasy or sticky on the skin. Initially, I liked it... until I noticed the smell on my body. It reminded me of a stereotypical cat-loving grandma and her cats. That scent lingered for quite a while. This purchase was a big disappointment for me. The ingredients are decent, but the smell is unbearable.
