1. Wash your hair with a silicone-free shampoo. 2. Mix the required amount of powder with warm water (around 50°C) until it reaches the consistency of thick sour cream. 3. Once the mixture has cooled slightly but is still warm, apply it to dry hair. Do not apply a hot mixture as it may damage your scalp. 4. Put on a shower cap or wrap your hair in plastic wrap, then cover your head with a warm towel to retain heat. 5. Leave it on your head for 30 minutes to 2 hours. 6. Rinse your hair with warm water. 7. Be patient—your hair color will darken and become more intense over the next few days due to oxidation.

I was initially satisfied with this hair dye, but after 1.5 years of using it, my hair along its length became extremely dry, and I had to cut it off. Over time, this dye excessively dries out the hair.
Good paint, beautiful color. However, it is not long-lasting at all. It lasted less than a month on the hair. It doesn't contain any oils or silicones for care. The only positive aspect of the paint is its health benefits. Because, of course, it won't damage your hair.
I have been dyeing my hair for the second time. The interval was about six months. I added 2 teaspoons of cold-pressed olive oil to one and a half packets of dye. The first time I dyed my hair without adding oil, and the color was more vibrant, but this second time the hair came out softer, which is important to me. I bought a laboratory water bath specifically for dyeing with henna to maintain the temperature regime. The color I achieve is a dark blonde, similar to my natural light brown, without any reddish undertones. I leave it on my hair for an hour and a half. It is important not to wash your hair for two to three days after dyeing, as this will help the color set well. I am very satisfied with this dye. For those with dry hair, try adding some oil. Be careful with adding essential oils, as they can give a reddish tone. You can find a list of such oils online. Using henna with oil is also more convenient, as it is more "pliable" and doesn't dry too quickly on the hair.
Updating my review after almost a year of use. At first, there was a wow effect: a decent natural brown color, not as trendy as commercial synthetic dyes, but still quite decent. It toned down the gray hair well, although it didn't completely cover it. I was willing to forgive all of this, including the high price compared to European prices, because of the natural composition. But... after a year, my hair became extremely dry, as if I had dyed it from dark brown to ultra blonde in one go. It became so stiff that when I lift a strand, it stays in place without hairspray. It feels unpleasant to touch and doesn't hold any style. In my case, there is no chance of hair growth. I had to cut it and get a short haircut. A year of hair regrowth has simply been wasted. Unfortunately. The care was professional, focused on ultra-moisturizing. The ends were trimmed with sharp hairdressing scissors; I never use a hairdryer or straightener. As for unexpected bonuses, dandruff and excessive sebum have disappeared, but this year I have also improved my diet, taken vitamins, and reduced stress in my life, so I don't think it's solely thanks to the product, but rather a combination of factors.
I haven't dyed my hair for about 4 years. Then I decided to slightly darken my hair. My natural color is dark brown. I bought 2 packs right away (ash brown, dark brown), but not from here. I checked the temperature of the mixture and followed the instructions strictly. The first coloring with the ash brown shade went well, the color was beautiful, but only until the first hair wash! After 3 washes, there was no trace of the dye left! After a month, I tried to dye it again with the darker shade, dark brown, but it didn't take at all! There was no result in terms of color, but it completely dried out my hair... Before the first dyeing, I had just cut my hair and there were no split ends at all! But after using this dye, my hair is in a terrible condition, it is very dry and splitting! Even though I read the instructions on the official website a hundred times and followed each step strictly! I really regret choosing this dye!
This product is amazing! I have been using it as my hair dye from 2013 to 2016. After that, I switched back to regular hair dyes, and my hair suffered. It was completely damaged. That's when I remembered Khadi.))) This dye makes my hair thick, nourished, shiny, and even sparkling! In the photo, I used the hazel walnut color, which perfectly matches my natural dark brown hair color.
I have thin, curly, dark chestnut hair with about 60% gray. For the past 6 years, I have been coloring my hair with ammonia-free dye. I started considering natural dye after noticing that my hair had become dry, despite using conditioners with silicones. I also experienced more dandruff and hair loss. The walnut mocha dye faded to a reddish-brown shade within 1.5 months. I used a sulfate shampoo to remove all the silicones, and did not use conditioner. The actual condition of my hair was even worse. It was extremely dry and lifeless. I washed my hair with KHADI organic shampoo and then proceeded with a two-step coloring process. I measured the temperature with a thermometer. First, I applied the HENNA, AMLA & JATROPHA dye for 1.5 hours. The color turned out rich, and the gray roots had a more reddish tone. I rinsed it with running water and the dye washed out easily. Then, I colored the roots and the entire length with GOLDEN BROWN dye for another 1.5 hours. I mixed the solution incorrectly, resulting in a paste that was too thick. It should have been more liquid. I rinsed it with warm water, without shampoo, of course. The result would have made someone with weak nerves panic and write reviews like "it's all ruined" and "never again in my life" )))) But not me. Overall, the color seemed very dark to me, but in terms of tone, it was very close to my natural color. I was just used to chemical dyes that made my hair 1-2 shades lighter. The hair was evenly colored in a dark chestnut shade, and the gray hairs along the length had a rich reddish color, as well as the gray roots. In addition, the roots (which had grown about 2 cm) also acquired a swampy-green tint in some areas. What did I do? Nothing, knowing that the color develops over several days. The next day, the swampy shade and the redness disappeared as if they had never been there. The gray hair was 100% covered, and the color was consistent throughout the length. I'm surprised myself, as I wouldn't have minded if the gray hair had been dyed one or two shades lighter, giving it a kind of highlighting effect. I really like the color - chestnut. In the sun, it has a beautiful natural shade, and the hair shines. The problem of dryness has not disappeared. It was being masked by conditioners, which I don't want to use now. So, in the evening, I apply 10 drops of KHADI oil to damp hair (because my hair is very dry). In the morning, I wash it with organic shampoo, rinse with water and apple cider vinegar, and dry my hair without a hairdryer, combing it with my fingers. People with curly hair are lucky with this. The hair roots colored with henna are softer and livelier. I think I will cut off all the chemically damaged hair in two years. The obvious benefits so far (5 days after coloring) are: beautiful natural color, shiny and vibrant hair, hair that simply glows in the sun, fluffy and soft hair (thanks to the oil mask), no dandruff, itching, or excessive hair loss. When washing my hair, the water remains clear, and the dye does not wash out. I think it is very important to follow the recommended temperature for brewing the dye and applying it to the hair (using a water bath). Also, the henna should be fresh. By the way, I didn't apply any cream before coloring. I just wiped my forehead and ears with a damp tissue after coloring. Two spots on my neck, which I didn't notice, came off without any problems after 1.5 hours.
The first two weeks were fine, the color was nice and bright. However, after that, it started to fade very quickly, and you could see gray hair. I leave the dye on my hair for 2.5 hours and follow all the instructions properly.
After using chemical dyes, my hair was severely damaged and started to fall out. Today I tried Khadi for the first time - there are no limits to happiness! The color is very rich and deep, my hair is shiny like never before! Thank you to everyone who left positive comments and reviews - it helped me make the choice. The photo was taken right after dyeing. I also want to thank Make Up for their excellent service and fast delivery.
I have been dyeing my hair for about a year now, and I really like it. However, I have realized that the color and shade are not for me, and I want to go lighter, closer to my natural color. I couldn't find anywhere on the internet if it is possible to go several shades lighter. I have been dyeing it with light brown and dark brown. I want a cool dark ashy color.
I have natural light brown hair and started getting gray hair. This product does not dye gray hair at all. I left it on for one and a half hours... It was really inconvenient to apply and wash out of long hair. And the smell of wet ashtray will stay with you for a long time. The medium blonde turned out darker than my natural light brown. So, my hair became darker but the gray hair was not colored.
Good, natural, but the price...
I purchased the Copper color for dark brown hair. I also specifically bought the shampoo from the same brand to help the henna adhere better. I followed all the coloring rules according to the instructions. Unfortunately, I didn't achieve the desired color, my hair only slightly toned in some areas. However, I did like the pleasant texture of the dye and the improvement in the condition of my hair after coloring (shine, volume, smoothness). I am considering trying the Red color. I like that this dye doesn't damage the hair, but instead strengthens it. However, there is no guarantee of achieving the desired color.
I really liked the walnut color. I kept it on for 40 minutes and it turned out exactly as advertised - chestnut, not black or reddish (at a temperature of exactly 50 degrees and with a water bath for the paint bowl during the coloring process).
This paint is unforgettable! I have always dyed my hair with pure henna and decided to slightly change the shade. As a result, I ended up with a beautiful swampy color at the roots, thankfully it didn't stick where the old henna was. Now I'm trying to wash it off with every possible and impossible method.
The paint is excellent. I use it in two stages to cover up a small gray hair. What pleases me is that I can touch up only the roots, not the entire length. This results in economical usage. The delivery and packaging are superb.
The paint is simply wonderful! It leaves the hair nourished, vibrant, and shiny. The scent is pleasant, herbal, and I personally like it. Due to a significant amount of gray hair, I dye it in two stages, and it covers the gray hair flawlessly.
I really liked the hair dye, I chose the shade "ash brown" for my medium-brown hair color. I have never dyed my hair before, except for toning, and I have never used henna. The smell is specific, after coloring, the hair smells like tobacco leaves, but after a few hair washes, this smell disappears. The dye applied evenly, my hair is shiny, and I didn't have any allergic reaction (I have sensitive scalp). I am very satisfied and will definitely buy it again, maybe in a different shade.
"The color is very beautiful and vibrant. It effectively dyed my hair, which I have been searching for a long time. The only drawback is that it is a bit expensive compared to others. It is called pure red henna."
The paint is wonderful, but the shade "Dark Blonde" is not blonde in our understanding, it is a cool dark brown color. It looks beautiful on both natural roots and lightened ends. It does not dry out the hair, and the hair shines. I bought it in Germany for 9.9 euros. The brand Khadi is great, but the price in Ukraine is very overpriced.
The paint is good, it adds volume and shine, but unfortunately the color remained the same as it was before painting. I chose the black color and applied it on dark hair.
Light brown hair with a reddish-golden hue. For covering gray hair on the temples, I choose the medium blonde shade. I only dye the temples, matching the tone perfectly. I have been using it for a year.
I purchased the shade "Medium Blonde". My hair is a medium blonde color, so I chose a shade closer to my natural hair color to try and hoped that the dye would give my hair a slightly different shade. And it did just that. The shade is exactly the same as shown on the color chart. My hair became slightly darker and gained a beautiful shine.
Therefore, I recommend it to those who want a more radical change in hair color to choose brighter shades.
I really liked the dye itself: it didn't irritate my scalp (although my scalp is sensitive and prone to seborrheic dermatitis), nor did it dry out my hair (my hair is naturally dry). The only thing is that when you wash off the dye, it feels like your hair is clumped together and becomes stiff. But as soon as you start drying and styling it, they become soft and manageable (without conditioner).
Overall, I am very satisfied and will order more, but in a different shade. I think this dye will be suitable for those who don't want to color their hair with chemical dyes or those with sensitive scalps.
Khadi is now my favorite henna brand (previously used Henna color). The color is great, a natural chestnut shade. I switched to henna almost a year ago because even though chemical dyes offer more interesting shades, I was concerned about scalp irritation (even though I've been using Loreal Professional ammonia-free dyes with a professional stylist for about 6 years). Additionally, I've noticed that my hair is falling out less.
I bought a light chestnut color for myself! My hair was previously dyed with natural dyes, with the roots being light chestnut and smoothly transitioning into caramel, ending with lightened ends. It's commonly known as Ombre. I decided to switch to henna to solve a recent dandruff problem. My hair is shoulder-length and thick. One pack was enough for two dyeing sessions. I did it myself both times, and the coloring process took about 10-15 minutes. I left it on for 2 hours. The first result: my hair was very shiny, the shade turned out to be more reddish than light chestnut, and the ends were light reddish. I read reviews and expected the ends to turn slightly green, but that didn't happen to me. As the color washed out, the hair became lighter and more reddish. I repeated the coloring after two weeks, and the result pleased me even more. My hair actually became light chestnut, the coverage was excellent, and the transition from dark to light was almost unnoticeable. My hair became even thicker! And yes, the dandruff has almost disappeared. Along with the dye, I also used Khadi Neem shampoo. It may have also contributed to the "recovery".
I agree with Mvrina, if you want to color your hair with regular dye, it will turn green even after half a year of washing with henna oils, Estelle washes, or lightening with powder. If it weren't for the long time it takes to dye and darken the color, I would stick with Khadi. Look at the photos, the hair is shiny and vibrant.
I bought this hair dye in the color dark brown, which is close to my natural color. I have about 30% gray hair. I diluted it according to the instructions with 50-degree water, added a teaspoon of salt, and left it on my head for exactly 2 hours. I have used it several times - once a month - and each time the color turned out vibrant and rich. My hair was soft and not dried out. Before using this dye, I used cheap henna, which dried out my hair a lot, so I stopped using it. By the way, my hair is very thin and dry at the ends, but I was more than satisfied with the results of using this dye. The only thing is that on my gray hairs, the color turned out to be more of a light brown, which is not surprising. To even out the color and cover the gray hairs, I decided to use pure henna first and then the dark brown dye. However, during the process, I changed my mind and decided to experiment. I mixed half pure henna with coffee and poured boiling water, about 90 degrees, over it. I left it on for 2.5 hours, and the result was a beautiful chocolate shade with a reddish tint in the sunlight. It covered the gray hairs perfectly, although they turned out more reddish. I am very happy with the result as well. So, I will alternate between these two colors according to my preference. It is not cheap, of course, but I have shoulder-length hair that is not thick, and the product is enough for 3 dyeings. I am satisfied with the delivery every time - fast and convenient. Thank you, Make up.
I have been restoring my hair for 3 years now after using this miraculous dye... My hair is a swampy green color and no other dye covers it up! Only dark shades, which do not suit me. Everything that was colored with this dye can only be cut off! It gives a temporary effect of quality hair, but after a couple of months, the carriage turns into a pumpkin and the hair becomes dry! It really dries out!! Be careful!! It contains henna and some other dyes that cannot be used with other dyes, so the only solution is to live with what you have!
The natural color of my hair is chestnut. I have never dyed it before, only occasionally used a colorless henna mask. I decided to try Light Blond. I left it on for about 50 minutes. Overall, there wasn't a significant change, my hair just acquired a slightly golden shade and became pleasant to the touch. Maybe next time I'll go for something darker. I'm satisfied with the quality, although it's a bit expensive, but I'm aware that you have to pay for a good product. It's nice to know that one package will be enough for two applications on my not-so-thick hair. I used up the entire package the first time because I was afraid it wouldn't be enough. Thank you to Make Up for the complimentary wipes that were included with my order. It's a small detail, but it's nice.
I chose Khadi because of its ingredients. The color is dark brown. I used it on my fine hair, with just a little bit of gray. I dyed it without any additional henna coloring beforehand. The color turned out to be a natural dark brown. It has been 3 weeks since I dyed it and the color has not faded, even though I wash my hair every three days. The gray hair is covered. My hair is below my chin. The dye is enough for 2 applications. I am satisfied with the result.
Wonderful hair dye! I chose the dark brown shade (my hair is dark, faded to a reddish color, damaged from frequent styling with straighteners and curling irons), mixed it with 50-degree water, just like the instructions said. Before this, I hadn't colored my hair for about 5 months (last time I used an ammonia-free dye from Keranove, which washed out after 2 washes). Any dye I use on my hair tends to not take well and wash out quickly, so I followed the advice in the instructions and added a teaspoon of salt. Half a pack of dye was enough for my shoulder-length, medium-thick hair. The color turned out even, without any reddish tones, although in some places it has a slight reddish hue, but overall it's hardly noticeable. The color is noble and cool. In daylight, it looks like a natural dark chestnut, closer to dark brown, with no redness. I rinsed it without using shampoo and styled it with just a hairdryer, and my hair looks like it's had a luxury mask treatment - voluminous, lively, non-frizzy, no breakage, soft, and shiny - simply stunning. I can only imagine how it would look if I styled it with oils, sprays, and other haircare products. In short, I highly recommend it. I haven't come across a better dye. The most important thing is to follow the instructions. Wishing everyone beautiful and healthy hair.
Great paint! It resulted in a very nice noble color, a chestnut shade with a hint of red. I left it on my hair for 2 hours. I have a lot of gray hair and it covered it well.
In response to Lydia, please refer to the official website of Khadi where you will find detailed instructions on how to use the product correctly, the recommended time for coloring, and information about the color results and available color palette.
I initially purchased a light brown shade, but it turned out to be more like a reddish color. So, I decided to try a dark brown shade instead. The color was beautiful, but after washing my hair three times, I noticed that I became red-haired again. It fades very quickly, which is quite disappointing.
I chose the dark chestnut color. Before, I dyed my hair with henna-based dye, but it was only a copper color. My natural roots gradually started growing in a chestnut shade, so I wanted to even out the hair color. The dye worked well, and I darkened my hair, but there is still a reddish tint where my hair was previously dyed copper. The color is now even, and I have a pleasant chestnut-copper shade. The dye took well and applied evenly. My hair became slightly dry after coloring, but I later resolved this dryness with my favorite shampoo, Mirra. However, the price is a bit high. For my medium-length hair, I used 60-70 grams of dye, so if I decide to dye my hair again, I will have to buy a whole package since I won't have any leftover. I followed the recommended water temperature of 50 degrees Celsius for brewing the dye.
I chose the color "natural chestnut". My hair was previously dyed with chemical dye, and I have about 20-30% gray hair, but only at the roots. I dyed my hair in one step, and the gray roots turned slightly greenish, but the rest of my hair turned into a beautiful natural chestnut color with reddish undertones, just as I wanted. My hair looks lively and shiny. For the second time, I dyed my roots with regular, cheap henna, and then applied Khadi henna. The roots were dyed perfectly. It has been two weeks since I dyed my hair, and the color is fading a bit, but not too much. The roots still look good. I am satisfied with Khadi henna, the only downside is the price.
Ladies, please advise me on how to cover my gray hair and achieve a beautiful, even dark brown color, preferably with a hint of chocolate, without any reddish tones. Should I go for chestnut or dark brown? I've heard that chestnut can add some reddishness, but I want to avoid that.
30% gray hair in the front on the temples. I do a two-stage coloring with pure henna brewed for 2 hours, not with plain water, but with natural coffee brewed in a Turkish pot, adding cinnamon and a teaspoon of lemon juice. I applied the dye to the hair roots, but it still covered more hair than necessary due to wearing a cap. The main color turned out to be amber, as the pure henna caused darkening. The result - the gray hair is completely and firmly covered, beautiful amber color, and shine. For the dry ends, I use Khadi oil and castor oil overnight. Preparing the coffee dye gives a very beautiful shade, color, and shine. But for brewing pure henna, use water at 80 degrees, and for light brown henna, no more than 50 degrees. If the liquid temperature is lower, it will turn green. I place the clay bowl with the dye in warm water to maintain the temperature. Also, once you prepare the pure henna, leave it in a warm place for half an hour to steep like dough. Let the brown henna cool to a comfortable temperature, you can put it in warm water and start dyeing. I always add a teaspoon of salt to any dye, and for pure henna, I add both salt and a teaspoon of lemon juice to help the dye develop.
This is an excellent natural hair dye! I have been using it for six months now and I really like it. My hair is shiny and looks healthier. The range of colors is very natural.
"Girls, read about how to properly dilute and dye your hair with the right temperature. There is a whole website about Khadi. Turning green is not the correct way to brew the dye; you probably poured boiling water instead of using a thermometer at 50 degrees. The second dyeing will even out the color and improve the health of damaged hair. But you should dye it every 3-4 weeks and leave it on for no more than 1 hour."
This is an excellent natural hair dye. I chose the light brown shade. I left it on for one hour under a plastic wrap and a cap. The result is that my gray hair is completely covered, and my hair has a beautiful shine. It also eliminated frizziness from the ends of my hair. The color becomes more vibrant after three days. I added one teaspoon of salt to the water and used water at a temperature of 50 degrees Celsius. I used half a package for shoulder-length hair.
I highly recommend this hair dye for those who love copper-red hair color. I have been using this product for the fourth time now. Nobody believes that I dye my hair; they think I am a natural redhead. My hair shines with a healthy glow, and I really love it.
The henna is ordinary, I bought it without color so I can't evaluate the dyeing result. However, the hair strengthening effect disappears after the next wash.
Three months ago, I switched from ammonia-based to natural hair dye. Khadi is the best option. It has an excellent consistency and can be easily combed through. It works like a cream dye, ensuring that every strand of hair is evenly colored. This is crucial for me as I have long, curly hair. Overall, I will only be using Khadi from now on.
The quality of the paint is excellent, it gives the hair a vibrant shine, and the color stays strong for up to 3 days. I personally only use the dark brown shade from Hadi.
