Great base, I've been using it not for the first time. The eyeshadows last all day, and I apply them with a brush both on the upper and lower eyelids.
Very small.
The base doesn't work at all. Whether with it or without it, the effect is zero. Shadows crease and become dry and creamy. I used to have this base and it held up well. Now the quality has deteriorated.
I have been using only this base for a long time, and I am satisfied. I have oily skin on my eyelids, and they droop. To prevent them from drying out, I place several layers of food wrap between the lid and the base...and it perfectly preserves its properties for up to six months or more, depending on the frequency of use. :)
The base - it's basically useless! All of the liquid shadows and bases from Vivienne Sabo that I've tried are better than this disappointment of the year. It's a good thing I got it during a promotion. The most it can hold up shadows is half a workday, just a little longer than without a base. After six hours, the shadows gather in the crease of the eyelid, creating an unsightly greasy line. The difference is that the previous products were silicone-based, while this base is oil-based (mineral oil), and it remains oily until you apply the shadows. No matter how much I apply (whether it's just a little or the usual amount), and no matter how long I wait before applying dry shadows, the result is the same. The shadows also stick to it and don't blend well. Before this, all of my makeup easily lasted 12-14 hours until I removed it. In short, it's a waste of money.
I cannot use it at all as it gives a sensation of coldness upon application, resulting in teary eyes. This product is not suitable for me.
The shadows can be nicely blended on them, but they tend to smudge on me. Additionally, they dried out quickly, so I had to throw them away.
I have used it several times and the base dried out. It's disappointing. I wanted to have it for occasional festive makeup, but unfortunately, it's not the right option. The eyeshadows adhere and blend nicely on it, but if you use it daily. But if you use it rarely, it's a waste of money. It smells not like grandma's closet, but like good men's perfume, which is quite strange))

This product is absolutely useless for me.
Absolute nonsense! The smell... "nothing remarkable"... I've been using this base for 7 years, maybe even more. There is no better product for oily and droopy eyelids! As an example, when I did my makeup for a wedding and a photoshoot, I asked the makeup artist to use this base because I don't trust any other product on my eyes. And the wedding and photoshoot were in the middle of summer, with temperatures above 30 degrees Celsius, and the makeup was not just subtle, but had beautiful warm shades and black wings, and it lasted even until the next day! It was really outstanding.
I also want to mention that I'm always looking for alternatives to this base, and even when I find something good, I still buy this one as a backup because I wouldn't dare to go to an important event with a different base. Draw your own conclusions!
And as for Yves Saint Laurent, it's just a top-notch brand! No matter what anyone says about the place of production and so on. All the positive reviews are true. This base is the best. The price is worth it.
Why doesn't anyone mention the terrible smell of this product - "the smell of grandma's closet"! If I had known it would smell like this, I definitely wouldn't have bought it. And I don't understand why there are so many positive reviews. In my opinion, this product is nothing special or particularly outstanding in terms of its properties. Vivienne Sabo has a eyeshadow base with much better properties and for a reasonable price!
The foundation is not bad, but it dries very quickly. I bought it twice, and the same thing happened both times. I won't buy it again. Maybe, I just had bad luck.

This is my fourth jar of this product, and it's the only base that actually works on oily and slightly droopy eyelids. The usage is minimal with regular use, so I only need to replenish because it dries out, not because it runs out
I have been using this product for about 10 years. I have oily skin and droopy eyelids. Towards the end of the jar, it tends to dry up, so I always order a new one right away. It's even more cost-effective this way.

I purchased this product on the website a while ago and used it only twice. It was completely useless. The base is like "rubber" and doesn't apply smoothly on the eyelids. It doesn't enhance the color intensity of the eyeshadows either. Does it prevent creasing? Well, if the base already comes with lumps, my experiments didn't go that far. I have used cheaper bases before, but they were better than this one.
The base works great for the first six months. After that, it only lasts a maximum of five hours, and then everything goes downhill. The eyeshadows don't always apply evenly on it.

I have ordered this base several times. I apply it over serum or cream around my eyes. The eyeshadows last all day and do not smudge, even in hot summer weather, despite having oily eyelids. Of course, this is only possible if you use good quality eyeshadows.

I have purchased this foundation before, and I really like it. The shades stay on for up to 14 hours (maybe even longer, but I'm not sure because I wash my face). The eyeshadow blending brush that comes with it is also excellent.
My best solution is to buy this foundation. Previously, no shadows would last more than 3 hours, but now they last the whole day. It's even a shame to wash them off in the evening. I highly recommend it!

In my opinion, this product is super long-lasting - it can even withstand wedding makeup in the tropics. However, it poorly distributes and dries quickly, which you can see for yourself. Personally, I have chosen other options for myself.

The eyeshadow base holds the shadows quite well, but after a while, it literally dries up halfway through the jar. It's not very human-like, to be honest.

Great product, but it tends to dry out in the jar. If you apply your base like clay rather than a thin cream, it's time to replace it. I prefer getting it in a tube, it lasts a long time and doesn't dry out.

It performs its task well, but when there is only half left, it becomes a real problem to have longer nails. It is no longer possible to apply it evenly with a finger, it becomes clumpy and cannot be applied smoothly on the eyelids either. If you have short nails, it will be suitable for you.
Perhaps for someone it is nice, but I am not satisfied because I have something to compare it with. M.A.C Prep + Prime 24-Hour Extend Eye Base works much better, has more than double the volume, does not dry out, is used very economically, lasted me for three years, and works extremely effectively. You can accidentally fall asleep and the eyeshadows will still stay on even the next day. It is also convenient for layering eyeshadows, but unfortunately it was not available and I had to take this one. I have oily skin and the M.A.C eyeshadows or any other ones only last for about 3-4 hours before they start to gather in creases, and you can easily wipe them off with your fingers like oil and nothing will remain.

Affordable and effective. It shimmers and moisturizes the skin, just as described in the description. It lasts a very long time; I still have 1/3 of the jar left and it's already drying up because I can't use it up fast enough. I am satisfied with this base and have no desire to try anything else.

I have been using this base for 12 years now. I have occasionally tried others, but this one is incomparable. Its consistency is perfect, it doesn't alter the color of the eyelid, and even eyeshadows that cost 50 UAH stay put (although sometimes a base is more necessary for eyeshadows that cost 1000 UAH). I highly recommend it!
This base is the best one I have tried. It performs its task excellently - I have oily eyelids that also droop, and without this base, my eyeshadows only last for 2-3 hours. But with it, they stay intact until the evening, which is impressive. It's important to note that after applying the base on the eyelids, you need to give it a few minutes to settle before applying the eyeshadows. Without this habit, it can be a bit tricky to apply the eyeshadows as they tend to blend less smoothly than without the base. However, they last much longer.
